You will see Saturday why Barrera is better than Pacquiao....remember "Pacquiao has improved and still young"....Pacquiao will be the one returning home with the excuses....

And yet this fight is almost ranked as the 'most looking forward to' fight of the fall: The fightnews poll:

    cotto mosley 31%
    Mayweather Hatton 28%
    Pacq Barrera 2 27%
    Calz Kessler 14%

I would take this as a sign not that Barrera has a lot of fans, but that Barrera has a lot of people who hate him.

    Oh...and...Pacq TKO8 towell

True, if Fraud escapes with another stinking decision, and Mosely loses to Cotto, this will be my worst year since 2005 [IMG].

Let's say Wlad is your favorite fighter. Would you pick a rematch with McCline over the other 3 listed fights? Nope. It's got to be hate.

Of course, when I wrote that I thought the ratio was going to stay about 20-2. Now it's 24-7, which isn't all that far away from the current 27% of the poll.

That's some damn faulty logic. Have you encountered Pac fans? I'd honestly believe they'd pick to watch him fight the milkman over any watching any other fight not involving him.

Yep. That is a stupid logic.

Just look at Tyson. Think mIKE think.

Tyson himself said it best, he could sell out madison square garden masturbating. Maybe not now, but a few years ago certainly

And in the same vein - Pacman vs a relative unknown like say Lizaraga would sell better than a good competitive matchup like Barrera Vs Marquez.

It's not hate at all, it's that Pacman has a LOT of fans. And they are not interested in a good competitive fight, they wanna see him do some skullthumping, end of story.

    Pac TKO 9

Barerra will try to stink it out ala Juarez 2 but won't be able to keep pac off for long. Pac catches up to him in about the 7th, giving him a sustained beating until he wilts in the 9th.

I'm still way ahead of Donny...he doesn't make a prediction until Illuminati types "they meet in the center of the ring."

There are two ways this fight can unfold IMO:

    - the first way is that MAB shows up not trusting his stuff, fights in a hesitant manner, is overmatched from the start and stopped fairly quickly (like JLC-Hatton or Morales-Pacquiao III).

    - but I also see a scenario where MAB shows up poised and focused, has A PLAN for weathering the early Manny assault, and out-boxes a fatigied and frustrated Pacquiao down the stretch.

EVERYONE expects Pacquiao to roll over MAB. Even Freddie Roach said years ago that Barerra couldn't beat Manny if he had 10 tries.

I acknowledge that if scenario one plays out I will feel like an idiot for missing the easiest fight in years to predict, but I just don't see Marco getting stopped here. I am going with my gut on this one.

    MAB pts 12 Pacquiao

Stamina's never been an issue with Pacquiao ,he's arguably the best conditioned fighter in boxing ,he goes the same pace at the end of the fight as he does when he starts the fight.

I would be a lot more worried about MAB's stamina than pacquiao's.

I am not saying that stamina has been an issue in the past with Manny. I know that isn't the case. He has much better stamina than MAB. But I do think Pacquiao is going to be focused on getting MAB out of there quickly, and as such he may not have as much in the tank as he normally does if Marco is still around and (throwing back) in the late rounds.

With everything that has gone on around Pacquiao's camp, I do not expect him to be 100% for this fight. It would be hard for him to be as sharp as he was for their first fight given the fact that he does not believe deep down that MAB can beat him.
