Final Prediction: MIGUEL COTTO vs. ANTONIO MARGARITO

Margarito is slower than average but he has heavy hands and throws so often and in such combination that it's as if he has hand-speed.

Cotto's gonna feel something he's never felt before when Margarito starts thrashing him with upper-cuts and long right hands to the throat.

 

Joshua Clottey, who I feel is a flashy piece of poop, was killing Margarito for 5 rounds with handspeed and sharp counters.

Miguel Cotto is a very good counterpuncher, and with a wide open target whose throwing alot and leaving alot of openings, I see nothing but bad things in Margarito's future

 

Cotto will deserve a lot of credit if he beats Margarito - it'd be funny as hell to see him fight Williams after that. But of course, Arum has strategically lured Williams away from that possibility by calling him up to middle-weight, and probably paying him more than he's worth to fight Pavlik, while sparing his Puerto Rican star a probable loss at 147 (if he gets by Tony somehow of course).

Cotto won't use stink. At least I've never seen him resort to it before. Heck he didn't even hold Torres when he was damn near out on his feet. And when N'dou was walking him down, nearly running him out of the ring, he didn't use stink. So I'm not anticipating such a scenario.

anyhow, clottey has an iron chin and if anything the guy is tough as hell.

cotto's vulnerable and was fortunate old ass shane couldnt pull the trigger.

i can see cotto winning a close decision, but i also see margarito punishing him in the later rounds and i'm not sure if cotto will be able to survive those uppercuts against the ropes.

I think it will be a FOTY canidate.. a little back and forth but Cotto will really start to dish out a beating and the only reason Marg will look impressive is the amount of punishment he will take

This is fight will be potiential fight of the year. Yeah I know that everyone is thinking that Cotto is going to destroy Margarito but Margarito is a tough SOB. I can see this being a very tough scrap with both fighters having their moments. Hell I can picture a Castillo/Corrales type of war with Cotto pulling out a close decision but the fans demanding an immediate rematch due to the fight being an instant classic. I'll Holla 5000
