marquez isn't known for having a stellar chin and he and pacquaio are basically the same size.

I dont' care how many times 24/7 shows Manny KOing C level guys with bodyshots it's not the same as being in there with hatton. If hatton can ever wind up and catch Manny with a solid bodyshot it changes the fight.

The saem goes for Pacquiao...Hatton has shown vulnerability to bodyshots as well. The difference...one was against Urango, the other against Collazo. Both bigger guys than pacquiao.

The more the fight is a boxing match, the better the chances are for manny. if Manny makes it a dogfight and sits with Hatton (which he won't) the better Ricky's chances are.

I wonder if Vegas has a line on how soon one of the guys will get cut. My guess is Hatton first.

    "However"

If something goes wrong with pacquaio, i don't think he's mentally tough to deal with it. We saw how poorly he reacted to the cut against Morales and the BS "socks" excuse against Marquez (who I STILL think won BOTH fights).

You simply can't allow Manny to get comfortable which is the thing JMM was able to do...get manny out of his rhythm.

    Wow repeating the same stuff.

Besides Castillo who else has been hurt by Hattons body punching. Thats the question that gets no answer on here.

RoyJonesJrP4P#1 takes "hater" to a new level.

A lot of fighters have haters on a number of different boxing sites. This guy actually gets out of bed on the morning of Hatton fights and says to himself "I'm going to ruin every single thread regarding the Hatton fight." And he does. Any RbR involving Hatton becomes unreadable after a couple of rounds because of this childish bastard. "Vicky is gonna get knocket out!" "Vicky is cheating again!" 200 posts in 10 minutes of the same shit over and over.

Ive seen you play the newbie card on new boxing fans. So ill do the same with you on MMA.

I hate Hatton, don't act like you don't hate on fighters. You hate on plenty. In fact you hate on Margarito far worse then i hate on Hatton. You don't see me bumping threads that i started years ago on Hatton saying he is overated. As soon as Jaws bumps shit to expose your knowledge you act like that don't mean shit.

Here we go with the excuses and tip toeing around the subject again. After Castillo who exactly has Hatton been effective to the body against. Im still waiting for you to proof me wrong on what i am saying. Too bad you can't because you believe in a myth.

Wow you have no respect for my opinions thats cool. I have no respect for your MMA scoring ability newbie. Maybee when you have seen more then 10 MMA fights you will understand how the scoring system works.

Ok now this is a fair argument. Too bad it took like 15 pages of a thread for somebody to bring it up.

However for such a great so called body puncher he rarely hurts people to the body or goes there often. When was the last fight apart from Castillo that he was even effective going to the body.

I personally didn't say Hatton was a great body puncher, I do think he does some good body work though, which is something he should most definitely use against a much faster guy like Pacman.

I didn't read every reply so I didn't know Castillo had been mentioned, although I admit I should have assumed it had.

Dude, U BARELY even LIKE MMA...The VAST MAJORITY of YOUR Time on the MMA Forum is Spent DISSING the Sport...So HOWtheFUCK R YOU Some Type of Expert on It All of a Sudden???...& HOWtheFUCK Can YOU Call REED Out on Some "Newbie" Shit when YOU DON'T Even Respect that Particular Sport YOURSELF???...

REED Can @ Least RESPECT what he SEES, Whether he's Been Watching it 1 Year, 2 Years or 10 Years...

Ricky Hatton is INFINITELY MORE TALENTED than Antonio Margarito & Please WAKE REED the NEXT Time there's a GLOVE OR HANDWRAP Controversy Involving Hatton...YOU Hate Hatton UNneccessarily, Whereas REED has Been CONSISTENT N his Margarito Slights & LOOK How HIS Career Turned Out???....On the Subject of Margarito, Why Don't U BUMP the Thread where REED Actually Gave him his PROPS N the Immediate Aftermath of the Cotto Fight???....We ALL Know U'd NEVER EVER Give Hatton his Props, Because U're a JUVENILE BITCH about It, Almost like he KICKED Your Father's Ass or Something....

Jaws "Bumped" REED's DeLa-Pac Predictions, Which were On Point w/about 85-90% of this Messageboard...So if U Wanna Call REED Out on his "Knowledge", Call THE ENTIRE BOARD Out on it Too...The FACT is, there was Really NO Logical Reason to Pick Pac N that Fight, but WHERE is the LOGIC in REPEATEDLY HATING on a Guy that's Lost ONEfuckingFIGHT Out of 40+?????...REED Certainly DIDN'T Pick AGAINST Pac N the DeLa Fight Out of HATE (Like YOU Do in the Case of Hatton 100% of the Time), Because REED is a FAN of Manny Pac...& if U've Paid Attention to REED's Margarito Posts, then U ALREADY Know REED is a FAN of Manny Pac...

"After Castillo" REED's ASS, Dude...Hatton's Had 3 Fucking Fights Since Then...& if he HURTS Manny to the Body, YOUR Sorry Ass will Then IMMEDIATELY Say, "Well, SINCE PAC, Who Else has Hatton Hurt to the Body?":boohoo:....U're LAME to the Point of PREDICTABILITY...

How Bout Actually WATCHING a Ricky Hatton Fight for a Change???...That'll "Proof" it to your STUPID Ass...As if the Castillo, Tszyu or BOATLOADS of PRE-Tszyu Fights HAVEN'T ALREADY Illustrated Hatton's Bodypunching Ability...

So most of this board is stupid, I think I've maintained this for awhile. Especially fucktards who said "Barring a miracle, Pac will get KO'd."

or "This fight is a mismatch"

Quietly, people capable of distancing themselves from stupid takes objected, much like now. This could be a compelling fight if certain obscene circumstances take hold. but the logical take is that this is a massacre waiting to happen.

Hatton does have a real chance here, given that Pacman is not a dirty fighter, not an inside fighter, if the ref lets Hatton get away with some of his roughhouse tactics, he could maul Pacman to a decision win.

But I should let you know, the only reason I'm thinking that is because I am full of anti-Pacman sentiment.

If Hatton wins it'll be in stink fashion and be a boring fight. Hatton TKO by stink @140. Let's see if my signature is universally true.

The only Hatton fights that aren't a complete waste of time to watch these days are ones in which he either loses or is saved by the referee and allowed to tie his shoes when his legs are gone and his opponent has him against the ropes (Hatton/Lazcano).

My boy? He took out an opponent with a body-shot who I liked watching and who's fights make Hatton's seem like watching paint dry.

Castillo may very well have been involved in the most exciting fight in history, nearly beat PBF (some thought he did), lost a split decision to him in the rematch, and sure's hell wasn't knocked out by him.

P4P, prime for prime, Castillo was a far superior fighter than Hatton. But in true Hatton fashion, he faced an over the hill Castillo, fighting above his best weight, and clearly shot. Just like he did Vince Phillips, Ben Tackie, and Tszyu.

Hatton blows. He's just a hack. I hope he gets torn to shreds. And it was fun watching him get knocked down trying to land a leaping left jab against PBF. Ha ha ha ha.

this has been tough, but i'm gonna go with Hatton. At 140, he's never failed to push someone back if he has wanted to....he's man-handled guys bigger than Manny. I think he's quick and strong enough to force Manny back, and up close, on the ropes, his body shots are gonna be tough for Manny to absorb.

Another factor that has risen in my mind, is that, for once, Hatton is gonna enjoy a bit of height. Hatton has a strong jab....he is usually outreached so it hasn't been used to maximum effect....as Manny darts in and out of range, Ricky's sharp left could be a decisive weapon. Hatton will also try and force Manny back with this forceful jab.

Manny's speed is his main advantage here.......Manny will probably try using his footwork to dance round Ricky...he'll have some success, but Ricky isn't a plodding fighter...he is dynamic and explosive himself, so i don't think he'd be made to look like a fool (ala dehydrated Oscar).....but my worry for Ricky is that, especially early on as Manny is at his sharpest, he reaches with his punches and leaves openings for sharp counters....if he gets buzzed, Manny will jump on and overwhelm Ricky.

    Hatton KO 10

There will be mimiscule height and size difference between the two,.some people resent me saying that,.. but it's just the truth Im afraid,.. the weigh in and the poofy staredown will display two same sized fighters with the tale of the tape being near enough to dead even. If somebody new to boxing saw these two pashing and grinding thier cocks up each others thighs for the compulsary staredown having little background knowledge on Pacquioa,.. they would have to be scitzophrenic, to shreik 'David and Goliath' rather than to wolf whistle.
