it is dangerous to read into pad work footage, but i saw some on Hatton yesterday working with Mayweather Sr and he did look VERY sharp

....i think we are gonna see a more measured Hatton on saturday....and that needs to be the case...against Mayweather he fought stupid......but if he is too measured, then that could play right into Paulie's hands.....but at the same time, don't underestimate Hatton's skills.....he can box

    yeh right:atu:

it's enough that he lose the first 3-4 rounds trying this crap and then the fight will be very difficult for him

only way paul wins is if he ref breaks every clinch immediately and separates them, the way the ref won the ight for paul against n'dou.

i just hope hatton stops paul in such brutal fashion that he goes away. somehow his beating at the hands of cotto rose his stock. i think it's just because he's a flambuyont italian.

judah would k paul tfo. wish he were fighting judah instead.

I'm going with this. Both men will be booed mercilessly. Hatton loves to start fast, and show off his handspeed, but by the middle rounds, he fades into the lunge-and-hump style. Malinaggi will certainly allow Hatton to gas out ever quicker with his footwork (honestly I wouldn't be surprised by Paulie suffering a flash knockdown) but he'll actually land more punches as the rounds go on and his outright running slows into constant circlinig and legit boxing.

Exactly my thoughts. Hatton needs to make this a dog fight and rough Paulie's ass up. He needs to employ the dry hump his ass to victory. If he does this he will pound Paulie. But if he tries to box Paulie which he hinted at during his teleconference then he will lose. However, he will revert back to old self and pull out a decision. I'll Holla 5000

Stinker. Horrible, boring stinkfest. The only person who wins is the fan who didn't have to pay for his ticket and made out on a Blackjack table.

Yep, both will be looking to stink it,.. but within the 30 seconds of clean action over the course of the entire clinch festival, Malignaggi will have landed 2, Hatton will have landed 1,..resulting in a UD for the Arab.

The Hatton of 3 years ago would give Paulie a one sided beating, but because Ricky has declined I think Paulie will have his moments. I still think Hatton will pull it out though, cause I cant see Paulie maintaining it all night.

I see Paulie winning a one-sided decision. Hatton looked like absolute dog shit against Lazcano. And the change to Mayweather does nothing to enhance the product in the ring. If anything, it hurts his chances as others have detailed in this thread.

Paulie's only challenge will be staying composed throughout the fight. Because if he tries to get tough with Hatton, he gives Ricky his only chance. If he can remain focused over 12 rounds, this one isn't close.

I am thinking something close to Byrd-Tua... one guy stalking and looking crude while the other guy boxes his ass off and makes him look like an amateur.

I am picking Hatton by UD but only because of Paul's hands. His hands fail 9 out of 10 times. I agree with you if his hands hold up I wouldn't be surprised if Paulie humiliated Hatton. His hands won't though and it will look like the second ndou fight.

Good prediction Kauki, only I think Hatton lands 2, the Arab 1. Therefore Hatton wins by UD.

For all the people saying how shit Hatton looked vs Lazcano, how do you think Malignaggi looked against Lovemesomehold N'Dou on the same card? Rubbish.
