A guy young enough like Hatton?

Hatton is borderline shot and on the verge of retirement, age doesn't have much bearing in this case, or in a lot of cases.

Eg, look at Vargas, look at Hopkins.

Yayweather is an OVERRATED trainer actually. What fighter has he improved or guided to a world title that wasn't already a made fighter??...

That said, Hatton should win because he's stronger than Paulie and he can push him around. But he sure as hell won't beat him with boxing skill.

Rey Bautista vs Heriberto Ruiz has just started

rd 1-2 - bautista seems to have tightened up his defence a bit but is still pretty open when he throws, his jab is also isn't up to much, Ruiz too slow and looks like he is in go the distance mode, clash of heads opens a cut on ruiz's hairline, rds to bautista

Rds 3 More headclashes as both crouch and lunge when throwing hooks up close, Bautista now bleeding from head too, Ruiz and bautista trade, Ruiz lands left hook, DOWN GOES BAUTISTA, gets up, head bleeding, very shaky, bell rings, bautista goes back to wrong corner

Rd 4, Ruiz now looks up for it, more head clashes, Bautista is a moron - he should be protecting that cut but he keeps lunging in, Ruiz landing big head shots, Bautista wide open, keeps getting caught and shook as he stands and trades, the blood seems to be interfering with bautista's vision.
    Rd to Ruiz

is Bautista done as a "prospect"? looks awful

RICKY"THE HITMAN" HATTON by Unanimous Decision

I won't be surprised if Paulie takes a few of the rearly rounds but once Hatton setttles in he'll take control of this fight.

    Hatton 116-112

Rd5, Ruiz looks in control, lands some nice jabs and counter hooks, the difference is defence, Ruiz throws himself and the catches counters on his arms and gloves, Bautista takes the counters flush...bautista lands nice left hook, buzzes ruiz, but not enough to take the rd..rd ruiz

Honestly, how can you still like Hatton. I used to and now I hope he never fights again. i AM ONLY GOING TO TUNE IN, tomorrow morning, to see if he loses. Fuck Hatton. He is too boring to live. He isn't even a boxer. He is more of an MMA fighter although I doubt he would lose to a rank amateur.

rd 6, Bautista's corner haven't looked aftre the cut well, Bautista getting caught as he comes in straight to throw shots up close, one dimensional but he is still game....bautista walking into punches as he senses urgency with cut worsening, another rd to ruiz

rd 7, Bautista throwing lots of punches, not much accuracy, bautista has point taken away for low blow....this is an 8 round fight, bautista can't win a decision now on my card without a few KDs...even rd, but another for ruiz with the deduction

Paulie getting his SIXTH career stoppage against Ricky Hatton? :atu:

That reminds me of the time you said Calzaghe will NOT be able to press RJJ. :atu:

I got $100 on Hatton if you're game?

He's the best fighter at 140. I'd say that's worth something.

Hatton can't throw a right hand, and is wide as hell with his left

Paulie will do a number on him

but if Hatton wins it's only cos he cheated, so it won't count :cheer:

He p4p the most un-entertaining fighter in the sport too. You are an Anglo-phile. You know LOK picked Hatton right? I wouldn't bet Hatton with that idiot on board the Hatton bandwagon.

your opinion doesn't count for much considering you were right there with lokstradamus picking jones jr over calzaghe, shit for brains.

Has nothing to do with it. I've only been a fan of two British fighters in my life. Hatton (since around 2003) and Calzaghe (admittedly after Lacy). I'm not on here telling people this will be a barnburner fight or how exciting of a fighter he is. I have only a few boxers I like. He's one of them. I think Hatton's the best still at 140. Malignaggi is a champion so certainly a worthy competitor. I'm hyped up for this fight. I don't think it'll be as dull as people think. I'm not saying it'll be fight of the year either.

I am usually pretty accurate. I wouldn't know what you got right or because I am not a sodomite nerdy yid who stalks other men on the internet unlike you, enano.

if a jones jr groupie picked him over calzaghe that is one thing. we can chalk it up to bias. your pick was clearly stupidity and pugilistic ignorance.

there is another more obvious alternative. Your insults aren't going to make you taller, cameron. Don't hold my average height against me.

my insults have validity. yours are fictional. if you strive for the same mediocrity in your boxing predictions as your stature it would be a definite upgrade.

Up next...Matthew Hatton vs Ben Tackie, rd 1
The only question is how shot is tackie. The bald hatton is pretty mediocre, having just lost a commonwealth challenge in one sided fashion against the distinctly averge craig watson. Tackie throwing plenty of body shots, hastton unloads combos against tackie's high guard...so far, so fogettable, rd to hatton probably
