Just out of curiosity, why didn't you help as much before? I know you sent an article or two, but then everything stopped. Was there any particular reason?

It was really hard to get in contact with you sometimes, man. Became frustrating.

Plus, my health hasn't been consistently good for a while now. It's day to day.

just an FYI. I've also been contacted by other interested parties and I'm also looking at different alternatives like partners. Truly, I just want the best for FightBeat and certainly I haven't been able to provide that recently. I don't blame anybody but myself. I've always been a do everything myself person, but this time it's really fallen apart on me. I'm embarrassed and ashamed, but I'm also proud of my past accomplishments and what we did together to make FB one of the best sites ever. Can we make it happen again, I think so. Just need the right people involved.

Sorry that I have made people retreat from the site or from contributing. I don't blame them and I would probably have done the same thing. I wish I had a good excuse but there is none. So in the end, let's all work together and figure something out to move the community and the site forward rather than bickering about past failures.

Understood Tam. I agree, my communication skills were very poor with many of the contributors. I could have handled things better. Sorry.

There is nothing wrong with Jaws on a personal Level, but that is besides the point. He isnt involved with my deal with Andrew and Dsimon

Yeah, I will remember that the next time he decides to call me a piece of shit or comes up with some other personal insult for no good reason while we are discussing boxing.

I eagerly await the day when he begins to act like an adult. I come to this forum to discuss boxing and have a little fun. I don't come here to get into name calling spats with folks with the maturity level of a high-school freshman.

I've had Jaws over my house for dinner and can vouch he's a perfectly cordial and sane guy in person, even if we disagreed about something.

I think he uses the internet to vent a bit and gets carried away on certain topics. Maybe Ike has rubbed off on him, or rubbed one off..........on him.

    I wouldn't take his e-rants too seriously.

I sent a couple of Press Releases to Carlos as well that he didn't post on the front page, that is why I stopped contributing, and one of them was the ESPN 2 Main Event last summer with Chris Henry vs. Rubin Williams.
    Oh well.

Also Carlos: the best credential REED could obtain for the Marquez-Diaz fight was a fucking "Auxillary Credential" waaay back from the ring.

A far cry from the Glory Days here when we could roll right into the front row, and we knew more about boxing than the majority of the other sites at the event.

Cupey, you've been slacking for a long time now. Look at how many disgruntled members of the board are upset at you? So many good writers and contributors here whom you took for granted. How could you diss my boys Reed and Stinger like that?

Again, the biggest problem with FightBeat was that only one person was doing all of the updating because of technical issues. Not to say that it couldn't have been resolved. Not making excuses. Simply stating is that it never was and so everything falls on me. That's like racing a Dodge Neon at 100 mph, eventually the engine is going to blow. That's what happened with me brother. I burned out and nobody is that understanding because they got so used to things running smoothly. But for the past 4 years everything that has ever been published on Fightbeat, articles, videos, photo galleries, any server changes, server problems, website updates have all been my responsibility and mine alone. Yet nobody will give me credit for running this mother fucker, yet everyone will shit on me when I finally fell apart. I spent over $20,000 for Fightbeat with photo, video equipment, travel expenses, website design, I gave up my job to do this full-time for a while.

So Hanzy, forgive me if I don't give two shits about what you have to say.

But what about my boys Reed and Stinger? They took a lot of their precious family time to write articles for your site and you disrespected them! Reed actually skipped seeing his daughter's baseball practice just so he could sit home and write an article for FightBeat. Hell my homeboy Stinger left the hospital a week early against doctor's orders after his gastric bypass surgery just so he could write an article for Fightbeat.
But yet you disrespected! That sh*t ain't cool Cupey! :nono:

I couldn't give two shits about Fightbeats reputation. I'm talking about having a forum we can go to if Cupey decides to shut this down.

I haven't looked at the front page on this site for a long time. Judging by the posts here, I haven't missed anything.

It is pretty clear from this thread that we have a lot of guys wanting to contribute to the site, maybe a little disgruntled but nobody wants to see this place go to the wall.

I still cannot understand how this deal has not been made. Cupey wants out the guys want in :dunno:

cupey, why don't you delegate the updating and maintenance to someone else and dedicate yourself to journalism? Maybe you've tried biting more than you can chew by running this thing by yourself. Try and build a good team capable of updating the site.

Cupey's too emo and too much a control freak to hand over the keys. What u say is the obvious solution, but Cupes can't handle not being the boss, and can't let go enuf to let others run it. That's why he's selling...all or nothing.

That's not true. Steve_Dave is in charge of the forums and I rarely ever get involved with his day to day.

So Cupey, have you got a figure in mind for sale?

Is it preferable for you to sell or partner up?

Genius, right now I'm considering both options because the other deal has come to a stall. Basically if I partner with someone I want them to be in charge and I just want to contribute. I don't want to be involved to much on the day-to-day operations. It has to be for people with more time. I prefer at this point to contribute content and help with contacts or ideas. I'm going to start talks with a second person tomorrow to see what we can work out and then a third person on Monday. I want to do what's best for the site.

As far as a number, it's not really that much about dollars for me. If it's something reasonable for a partnership or take over then I'll take it. I'll leave it up to the people to bid and I'll respond. I don't want to throw out numbers.

    Cupey
