First i've heard of this, Devon Alexander vs Marcos Maidana to meet @ Welterweight

khan is talented and one of the better fighters around right now, with potential to get even better. he had a tough fight with maidana, and those claiming maidana is over rated certainly had evidence when morales gave him all he could handle.

 

Morales lost that fight clearly, but in the moments he was able to gather himself and do his own thing, he made Maidana look a complete tool in there. I still say that fight shouldn't have happened, he could have incurred serious eye injury and Maidana chopped him in half to the gut right through the last few rounds. The fact that a boozed-up Morales, with a career of wars behind him, was, at least externally {barring the eye} able to deal with Maidana's power better speaks volumes about Khan's lack of fortitude, at least at 135 and 140.

 

I'm not a fan of Khan, but I'm even LESS of a fan of Bradley. And Ive been saying for ahwile now that Khan would beat Bradley.

 

I'm not sure Im a fan of any fighter right now, except Nonito. I'd like Joan Guzman if he wasn't a complete waste of skin.

 

And the sheer irony of it, Donaire, who is easy to like, is "bored" with boxing and not really all that interested. :bangh:

 

Well, I said Maidana was shit before that fight, I made a point of doing so in order to stave off this exact type of criticism

So, you are asking me to give the guy a ton of credit for surviving and just edging out a guy who I think sucks???

For some reason Khan does seem to attract opinions of either extreme, either real haters who think he's a robotic, amateurish scrub (me, Hut Hut etc), or people who think he is a genuine world superstar and all time legend ::

As per usual the truth is somewhere in the middle. He has improved under Roach, and CAN fight, but at the same time has actually looked pretty average in 2 of his previous 3 fights. He looked scrubby as fuck in the second half of the Maidana fight, and didn't exactly look too hot against Closkey either.

 

Damn Broner looks like the biggest guy there.

Unless they have some radically different footwear, their heights seem way off too.

Maidana is listed as 5'9, Alexander 5'8, and Boner 5'7. Looks more like Maidana is 5'7 and Boner is 5'9.
