True but the fight was still made at a weight Hatton was shown to be ineffective in.

 

Margarito never really done much though before people began to say that Floyd was ducking him. In fact his whole career is based on the fact that Floyd didn't fight him. If Floyd did fight Margarito than he is no more than a tough slow Mexican. People can point to the fact that Castillo gave him problems with a similar style, but Castillo was light years ahead of Margarito in terms or skill and speed.

 

You can say you know what would have happened, but it still doesn't change the fact that Floyd didn't fight the guy.

 

Yeah he didn't fight him. It's not really complicated to know why the fight didn't come off if you are a hardcore fan. Every fighter in boxing wanted to fight Oscar De la Hoya. Margarito himself was desperate to fight Oscar.
