Floyd Mayweather Jnr vs Sugar Ray Leonard at 147lbs

Watch their fights vs Camacho- pretty sure Oscar is a little taller.

 

The fact that Leonard was equally as fast in handspeed and footwork AND punches hard with both hands gives Floyd zero chance of winning the fight. Not a competitive match.

"Like I said before" we saw how Leonard handled his daddy and his daddy is roughly the same height as Leonard. I can't honestly see a way Jr. wins the fight. He won't hurt Leonard and certainly wouldn't take a chance to hurt him. He can't outbox Leonard like Hearns did and he wouldn't have the balls to hunt Leonard like Leonard did Hearns.

Like someone mentioned earlier, this fight is better served in the mythical fight negotiation category. There's no way Floyd takes this fight.

Problem is, comparing Floyd Jnr to his daddy is like comparing Achilles to Peleus. Huge difference in skills and ability.

But yes, I can't see Floyd winning this fight. Leonard is a bad style matchup for him. However, Ray Leonard himself has said that Floyd would have been a tough fight for hm and that he'd have to concentrate on either getting to his body or else just hit the top of his head...but that looking for Mayweather's chin is an exercise in futility (transliterating)
