Floyd's bitch ass would not even want to be in the same galaxy as Hagler or Hearns. He'd never ever step to them. Hearns would kill the little cunt.

teddy atlas is always VERY respectful toward mayweather jr actually.

emmanuel steward clearly has some grudge against mayweather jr, he holds a serious bias against him.

It's not a bias. Steward knows what the real deal is when it comes to Floyd, just like Merchant. They know how scared and full of sh*t the chicken legged sap really is while everybody else kisses his ass. Steward and Merchant know reality.

    Pretty much.

Floyd has been a ducker since he left 130-135 6 years ago. At 140-147 he's been hand picking his opponents and consistently ducking the best people in the divisions.

That's the "grudge" Merchant, Steward, and the rest of fight fans have.

I never saw Manny having a grudge against Floyd, I've always taken it as he didn't buy into Floyd schtick about how great he is. Plus, he's known Floyd forever so it's not like it's a recent thing.

I get the feeling Manny's more disappointed in the lack of respect Floyd shows for past fighters.

Again, "like I said before"...trainers respect Floyd's skills (talking about Atlas) but you can't tell me a guy like Atlas likes Floyd's schtick/persona.

steward is a phony and if you can't tell he has a strong dislike and bias against mayweather jr you don't listen to what he's been saying the past few years. the guy is simply not an objective commentator.

merchant has a strong dislike for mayweather jr but he doesn't let it affect what he says about the guys ability.

Did you watch the Floyd/Brian Kenny 2 part video, Neil? It's pretty obvious why a lot of people in boxing including Steward, Hopkins, and even Tyson hate this f*cker. The SOB contradicts himself in every sentence. Talking sh*t about Shane Mosley's 5 losses as a valid reason for not needing to fight him. The idiot actually thinks he was the main draw in the Oscar De La Hoya fight. Dumb f*ck! Oscar was drawing millions of buys and selling out Vegas while this clown was fighting on free tv in ballrooms.

no I did not watch any of the videos.

kenny and merchant may dislike mayweather jr but they give credit where credit is due. steward has some sort of agenda against the guy and its obvious.

Watch the videos. You're going to feel pretty embarrassed for poor little Floyd. Even makes me cringe at how defensive and insecure he comes across while contradicting himself time and again. Poor little Floyd. He just has no concept of reality. So delusional! Wondering if early brain damage is hitting him. His uncle and dad are borderline whackos.

Sure, he's a certified douche and most of the negativity surrounding his career (especially as of late) is absolutely true, but I have to say... Floyd is a funny guy.

Floyd is a phenominal fighter....but is just a downright pricky and arrogant SOB.

I would laugh my ass off to see JMM beat his punk ass.:atu:

I am actually very anxious about this fight. Marquez is so fucking intelligent. I would love to him figure Mayweather out, even if he loses, i want to see a good fight.

It's not a good fight at all. The pull is the quality of each fighter and the fact that its Mayweather's comeback.

Both guys have supreme skill levels, but the fight outcome itself shouldn't be in any doubt whatsoever.

What swings your opinion that way? Is it that you think so highly of Floyd's skills are do you think it's a gross mismatch due to the weight differential.

Agreed! Marquez is the smartest fighter Floyd has ever faced...if the weight isn't a problem Marquez will give him a run for his money.

    Somewhat agREED...

Marquez is a GREAT, ACCURATE "Boxer" who Makes EXCELLENT Adjustments...But he HAS to Make Those Adjustments Because he's a SLOW Starter & his Defense is a Bit SUBPAR, for a "Boxer"...

a big reason he does that now is becaues he is old. He has to take more of that role. but he has always been an excellent fitgher and a really smart fighter.

AS good as JMM is now he is past his prime and has been for a while.

So because he is a slow starter...his intelligence is overrated?
I agree with LatinKing, its cuz he is gettin old, he has to make those adjustments later in the fight now.
Just like Hopkins has to do as well.

And by the way Marquez is probably the best counter puncher and combination puncher I have seen in a very long time...
    He is just so fluid.

If I were Floyd, I'd come out and blaze Marquez. JMM isn't going to hurt him. Floyd was a damn good puncher at 130 & 135.

If Juan Diaz could get JMM backing up in the early rounds, Floyd should have no trouble with him.

Diaz is a slugger that throws 120 punches a round, Floyd is a natural counterpuncher. Diaz backed JMM up but got counterpunched and figured out in the process, not sure how's that gonna work for Floyd.

Floyd wasn't that good a puncher at 135, he got people's respect but that's it. JMM just KTFO of two legit Lightweights that had never been stopped before, again not so sure Marquez shouldn't get Floyd's respect.
