Don't Hate the PLAYER, Hate the GAME...

The GAME Annointed Carlos Baldomir as the "Linear" Champion, Not REED...

    mosley - top 15 p4p? a big maybe

quintana - has about one good win and another that's semi-significant

malignaggi - give me a break

torres - did you see his fight vs. arnoutis?

floyd beat and DOMINATED an unbeaten diego corrales (one of the best lightweights in the last 10 years) who was in his prime.

floyd twice outpointed (clearly the second time around) against a big ass jose luis castillo (who along w/ corrales is one of the best 135 pounders in the last 10 years.)

has cotto ever beaten a champion? or a top 10 p4p level fighter?

yea roy jones who beat ruiz (a top 5 heavy at worst, later a top 2 or 3 and future 2 time heavyweight champion!) who would've beaten any light heavyweight or super middles that roy supposedly ducked.

roy > best of puerto rico.

Sometimes larger fighters start in smaller divisions, another example is Oscar De La Hoya, just because he started at 130 doesnt make him the same size as Manny Pacquioa,.. , that's why moving up divisions is severely overrated when you just can't make the weight anymore, whereas staying and beating all comers in one division where you can make the weight for your entire career is frowned upon as "he just beat a bunch of mandatory bums"... [IMG] but you can bet alot of those mandatory bums in a division you should have been competing in all along, would whip the shit out of these 'name' champions 3 divisions below,..

Quintana, Malignaggi, Torres, Mosley and every other Miguel Cotto opponent...USELESS BUMS>....garbage....but JOHN RUIZ being top 5 at Heavy is suppose to mean something...

I know...Mayweather would beat any Welterweight in the world...so why fight them.......when he finally decide to fight the Cotto,Margarito,Williams at Welterweight....and god forbid he losses..then it was because he was PAST HIS PRIME...cause at 130-135 he was AWESOME...at 140 he was very good...but at 147 he ain't all that..but still goood enough to beat the BEST at that weight...

Get over Marge and get over Williams. The only welter that has a shot at landing a fight with PBF is Cotto, so you better hope he takes care of business in July.

No, Oscar's the larger fighter, he's a fully fledged junior middleweight, but 'lil Floyd' aint exactly dwarfed by him, he is a legitimate 'average sized welterweight' afterall.

By that comparison then there is a bigger gap between PBF and Oscar then there is between PBF and Hatton.

    jones started at 160.
    cotto started at 140.

Can Cotto move up to 168 and beat edison miranda (who's not even a top 5 super middle)?

he won titles in FIVE divisions.

i dont even really like floyd. i like watching him, but he's not one of my favorite fighters. but i tell it like it is.

he's the best fighter in the world and has been for quite some time along w/ hopkins and jones.

he's at the end of his career and is now a cross-over super star.

fuck, ray leonard went in and out of retirement and teased the shit out of his future opponents and was a great opportunist himself TOWARDS THE END OF HIS CAREER.

floyd is CLEARLY at the end of his career. he's the best and now he's also very rich. he can pick and choose.

you offer Cotto, Hatton, or Margarito the DLH fight and they will all take it for the money and won't critize weather Oscar is past his prime.

Floyd landed the money fights and he is taking advantage of it. anybody would.

Floyd is not wasting his prime. he is still in his prime as far as skills. But his legacy is done. His hands are not the same.

I can't knock Floyd for taking the money fights. Of course I want to see him fight Cotto. But that is icing on the cake for his carreer.

I still think it will happen.

Nah, Fraud sits nicely inbetween a junior-middleweight and a junior-welterweight just quietly,.. still and all,... "lil Floyd, a natural 130lb'er!"..

Right, so the size difference between ODLH/PBF > PBF/Hatton.

Ah, not really, checkout Fraud's arm in comparison to Hatton, his shoulder starts at Hatton's chin, and the end of his fingers basically ends at Hatton's knees, I seriously doubt De La Hoya has got that kind've range advantage on Fraud, so I think it's pretty even, ration to ration.

Would you say Hatton is a full size junior welter?

He's an average junior-welterweight, just like Fraud's an average welterweight, I'm a fan of Margarito but even I'll admit that he has a good size advantage over alot of his opponents, unfortunately sometimes the way the body handles cutting weight can help attribute to a somewhat 'unfare' advantage in the ring against a smaller opponent who's body doesn't cut weight quite as well.

I agree with this - Floyd's last three fights have been against excellent opponents. Only haters will pick apart those three. BUT the point is, what now? Is he gonna make a run at history by clearing out the division or is he gonna fanny around with gimicky wrestling matches and unneccessary rematches that aren't gonna augment his legacy one iota? Floyd could end up ranking alongside Ray Leonard if he INVESTS the next three years in his legacy instead of SQUANDERING it by allowing that chip on his shoulder to make his decisions for him.
