I agree, in principle, but the staredown is misleading since Hagler appears to be looking down at the taller opponent.

Like I said it's the angle it was shot at. Besides Mugabi is consistently listed at 5'8" and Hagler is consistently listed at 5'9". Norris is consistently listed at 5'9" and he's clearly taller than Mugabi in their fight (even without the hair wedge).

If Mugabi were as tall to Hagler as it appears in the angle of the staredown shot Mugabi would be 5'10" or taller....but that's not the case.

Anyway....I think we've exhausted this particular point.

Looks like Stafford has picked up where he left off regarding Hagler, Mugabi and any other fighter from the 80s in his endless attempt to pump up Floyd.

Mugabi was done at the time of the Norris fight and wasn't close to same fighter who took on Hagler. To suggest otherwise is self-serving at best.

 

Sly will go to his grave with his life-size replica of Floyd's nuts in his mouth.
