Did you see how shitty Coking Joe looked at the HOF Ceremony? Froch would beat the fuck outta him if he came outta retirement.

Prime Calz beats Froch by a wide margin.

Its true that a prime calz was so good, that he almost beat robin reid, and he even managed to beat the legendary david starie in an epic struggle.

Froch has no chance against such a monster

I think you left out the part about Calz clearly beating a FRESHER version of the man who three years later go onto beat Froch.

Not to defend Calz, but the Froch love affair is at an all time high. Bring up the Robin Reid fight and ignore the fact that Froch struggled with a washed up Glenn Johnson, got out boxed by Dirrell, and was a round away from losing to Taylor.

Calz was better than Froch and would have beaten him with room to spare.

Glen johnson, isnt that the man who the great calzaghe backed out against multiple times ?

Taylor, isnt that the guy who beat twice, and more impressively, a younger version of the best guy calzaghe ever fought ?

Calzaghe was a fairly good fighter, but the level some of you overrate him his sickening, since youre rewarding him for his cowardice. The guy struggled against a lot of c level fighter (kabary salem floored him and gave him a good fight), and he was very beatable

If he had fought the same level of opposition than froch has, he would have more than his share of losses

What fuckin pipe are you smoking? Jermain Taylor was a fucking FRAUD! Taylor arguably lost BOTH Hopkins fights. There's no argument for Hopkins winning against Joe. I was rooting for B-Hop in that fight HARDCORE, but Joe won by a 8-4 margin. A prime Hopkins beats both, but Joe likely always gives him a decent scrap.

I do know that a prime Hopkins would give Froch one of the worst beatings ever witnessed by man.

Joe barely won against hopkins, if he won at all. No way was it a 8-4 fight. People seem to only rebember the last half of the fight, and not the first in which he was mostly dominated.

Yep taylor was kind of a fraud, but joe is a fraud as well. The only difference is that jermaine had the balls to fight top fighters, while calzaghe was hiding in england fighting eurobums for almost his whole career

I would have cried bloody murder had I thought Hopkins won that fight. Joe won clearly. Calz is overrated too. He def woulda lost to prime versions of Hopkins and Jones. Can't see him losing to Froch though. Carl Froch HIS GODDAMN SELF admitted the only way he coulda beaten Calz is by KO. Can't see him doing that. Calz was just a taaadddd bit more durable than glass man Groves.

Who cares about what he said out of respect for the old man. Tyson said that he would have never beaten a prime holmes. That doesnt make it true. And joe was fragile, he got decked numerous times, a lot of times by bums, and almost got koed by a decrepit rj, who was a pitty patter at this stage of his career. I wouldnt be shocked if froch stopped him

Calz didn't have an all time great chin, but his chin was solid. Froch has 3 stoppages over decent fighters; Taylor, Bute, and Groves. All three very fragile chinned guys. He wouldn't stop Calz. Joe's quickness and activity would be too much for Froch. That, and Calz was pretty physically strong. I actually think he could force Froch back, and he can't fight backing up.

Just rewatched hopkins calzaghe, it was less close than i rebembered. Clear win for hopkins imo. Even the last rounds were far from being all for calz. The 10th for example is a clear hopkin round ( unless you count humping as clean punches)

Calzaghe won 9-3, and I was rooting for Hopkins.

Yeah, but it has been pretty much proved over the years that youre an idiot ;)

    (Joke)

Seriously, i would advice you to rewatch it (well not really since its pretty much a bore). No way is it a 9-3 fight for the welsher

I have only seen it once, but from my recollection it was pretty clear.

Hopkins dominated the first 3 rounds, then basically did nothing for the next 9 when Calzaghe got into the fight and upped his pace. Calzaghe simply outslapped him every single round after that. It might not have been pretty, but it was effective, and a clear Calzaghe win.

As i said before, the tenth was clearly a hopkins round, so i dont think you rebember it well

I don't have a scorecard for the Calz-Hopkins fight but Nard really showed his cuntiness in that one. Mr. Philly Warrior got slapped about and instead of fighting whined to the ref and faked being hurt by low blows.

Yep. That fight kind of made me stop being a Nard fan tbh. The bitch in him came out big style, even gunning for a cheap DQ win.

The fight wasn't 9-3, though, that's way too generous to that faggot

Well you must not follow boxing, since numerous persons and journalists claims he deserved to win. Even some of the british commentators had him ahead. Hell ,if im not mistaken, most of the press present at the fight had hopkins winning.

Fightbeat is pretty much the only place where this fight is hailed as an easy calzaghe win, which is not surprising considering the number of jingoist brits we have on the board

Well espn, yahoo, ap and the guardian, just to name a few, all had hopkins winning. And ive seen numerous place where it says that the press row scored the fight for hopkins (but not from professional source) .As i said, its pretty much only on fb that this fight is seen as an eay win for calz. Everywhere else, opinions are splitted. For me , it was a close but clear win for hopkins, he landed the cleaner puch by far, while calzaghe only clinched, mauled and landed a few slaps
