Arguably the best episode of the franchise and in the history of television.

Certainly up there with the red wedding, the white walker battle and the watchers on the wall battle. Epic in every sense of the word.

 

Battle of The Bastards is way superior than all the episodes you mentioned combined!. I mean they must have spend an obscene amount of money on last night episode whose scope rivals any big budget fantasy movie of recent years. And the actual battle scenes, man, that was 'Braveheart' epic! Most awesome (and brutal!) swords and spears battle ever put on film and emotional resonance. The ending was freaking satisfying.

I can't see how the season finale episode next week can top this.

No way Cercei's fate can transcend this.

 

The season finale rarely tops the penultimate episode in Game of Thrones. Next week won't top this but it'll wet our appetites for next season

 

It might end with some sort of shocking ending...like Cersei getting executed! :Bad:

That is the film people keep mentioning in comparison, but I agree that the Battle for Winterfell was superior.

Yeah, Jon Snow waiting on foot by himself with his sword drawn and seeing the heavy cavalry charging towards him is Emmy award winning TV, right there. I was going nuts!!!

 

I have to say, out of all the characters in the history of this show, Jon Snow has the biggest brass balls. Valiant is an understatement to describe him. Dude has taken on Giants, White Walkers and was prepared to go down fighting against a charging cavalry line. Bad boy !!

 

Theon and Yara Greyjoy must have teleported to reach Meereen this quickly. Either that or the show’s timeline is just wacky and nonsensical. Meereen is literally on the other side of the world from the Iron Islands. The Greyjoys would have needed to sail south from the Iron Islands (which are north and west of King’s Landing) all the way past Dorne, then around the southern spread of the continent and across the narrow sea. At this point, they would still be about that entire distance all over again away from Meereen. They’d need to sail hundreds more miles just to reach Old Valyria before they were even able to enter Slaver’s Bay. It’s a jaw dropping distance.

 

word, it's like sailing from New York City to Austral......wait a minute.....how the fuck would we know what the distance is? Lol

 

I checked it on my GoT GPS app. After selecting sailboat it said the trip takes 4 weeks.

"Okay first of all I think Jon Snow will defeat Ramsay Bolton and take back Winterfell, but he doesn't really want to be the 'Lord of Winterfell', 'Lord of House Stark' nor 'King of the North'. Rhaegar Targayen married Lyanna Stark and she gave birth to a son, before she died. Her brother, Eddard 'Ned' Stark found her near dead and the newly born baby boy and took him to protect his life from Robert Baratheon's and the Lannister's persecution and extermination of the Mad king's children. He lied about the true identity of his nephew whom he called Jon Snow. So Jon, more than Daenerys, is THE rightful heir to the iron throne.

But of course this will not revealed to him until after he and Daeny had a clash. I think she will be the 'bad one' in this conflict of ice & fire."

 

Was a great season finale. Cersei, we love to hate her but you have to admire her cunning evil genius. Women are running Westeros and Essos now. Daenarys's force is unstoppable . She'll conquer kings landing by the second episode of next season at the latest. The real war will be between her and the white walkers. Will be interesting to see if the Starks align with her or not. Jon Snow is the real heir to the throne of Westeros it seems. Will he go to war with his aunt? aria Stark is badass!!

 

Cercei showed no emotion for Tommen's demise. After all he was the least favorite of her children and he betrayed her for Margary's vagina. The way she got rid of the High Sparrow and all his followers was plain brilliant! I don't think Daenery's will conquer Kingslanding by the second episode. That will be a longer war and it will take some time before she gets there. I do think that Jon Snow will clash with Jaime's armies first. And yes, eventually the showdown will be between Daeny & Jon. They will go to war, but I think that war will be stopped by the White Walkers invasions and they will have to join forces to defeat them.

 

Cersei has no way to resist the Daenarys. Khaleesi has Dorn, Iron Islands and Hightower backing her against Cersei with 1000 ships and if all that wasn't enough she has three dragons. It'll be a rout. She'll be on the Iron throne in minutes. The issue at hand is the Starks, the Vale and the North as a whole and of course the white walkers.

Little finger though is the man everyone has to watch. He's been running this show and you don't know what his next move is.

 

The North is only less than half of Westeros. The queen has an army big enough to resist an invasion. The dragons will make a HUGE difference though, but if the North decides to help repel the invasion, it might be a long war.

Littlefinger needs to die and it will be fitting if it is via a deception by Sansa.
