I'd to see Garcia fight Rios even though it's not gonna happen.

I have a feeling Rios will be upset by some scrub within the next year.

Maybe.....I don't like Garcia.....he seems like a real poser. A fight vs. Rios would be tough n brutal even if he win....so let see it happen.

Yeah he'd batter Rios. Rios blocks punches with his face, and Garcia has an incredibly meaty left hook. Rios would get flattened in 6 or 7 rounds.

ANGEL is a poser. Danny is a world class fighter. He's not a great fighter, but he's MORE than one level above that punching bag Rios.

I don't even care to see that matchup at this point. Rios is on the way out.

I'd rather see Garcia fight Peterson, Porter, or Thurman.

Danny's going to end up prone on the canvas just like that. His "hook's" are wide as hell and he completely turns his head away. He'll get caught with a shot he never sees.

It's just a wide, winging shot. there's almost no bend in his elbow.

He completely looks away from his target. A properly thrown left hook, even if you miss with your fist you'll catch the guy with the elbow. I believe Garcia caught Khan with a similar shot.

Thurman's got a pretty good left hook. That'd be an interesting matchup.

    Peterson won't beat Garcia.

If he hooks at the same time as Thurman, Thurman will get there first plus Danny will blindly turn into it.

    Good night Danny.

I don't think poorly of Garcia. I don't think he's a pound for pound fighter. A solid guy.

    "HOWEVER"

I'd like to see his dad get KTFO

If/When he's Accurate, it's on ACCIDENT...Speaking of Accuracy, he Caught Khan in the NECK...

He caught Khan with the EXACT same shot, it even landed with the same part of the glove, kind of on the side.

He always throws the left like that and looks away.

Say what you want about him, he has fucking good instincts in the ring. He knows when to throw that left hook, and how to land it, even if he looks kind of scrubby, and looks away etc.

He won't be beaten as easily as you seem to think.

I think more highly of Thurman than many of you here, but I think Garcia would win.

Garcia is simply much better than he looks.

Garcia is crap. A lot of you seem to forget how totally outclassed & outgunned he was by Khan until Khan got stupid/careless.

I don't think he was either. He was being outspeeded and outlanded, but not outclassed and outgunned. He looked fine, and was simply starting to work Khan out and time him.

I'd favor Thurman. Let's be honest, Salka would be headed to morgue if he had fought Thurman.

Thurman's win over of Chaves looks pretty good in retrospect considering Chaves was on his way to probably beating Rios had Dracula not robbed him.

Outsped and outlanded can be different ways of saying outclassed and outgunned. Khan could've, and would've won that fight EASILY if he had any sort of ring IQ at all. I don't think he timed him at all, as Muzse pointed out Garcia's head was completely facing away from Khan & his eyes were closed when he landed that winging counter. A guy like Mayweather Jr, even at this age, would use Garcia as a punching bag. Hell, a 900 year old Zab gave him problems.. a prime Zab would beat him easily.

    Now THIS is horseshit.

Khan wasn't outclassing a muthafuckin thing! You would THINK you would know boxing well enough to see that Garcia was simply being patient, adjusting to Khan's speed, and finding the right timing.

Garcia would blast Khan 10/10 times. He's simply a much better fighter than that bum.

I'm not exactly a big Garcia fan, especially being a Morales man, but there is a lot more to him than just blindly swinging with that left hook. If that's all he did, he would have nowhere near as much success with it. He has good timing and instincts.

Again, even though it looks pretty scrubby, wide, head turned away etc, he just seems to instinctively know when to throw it, and how to land it.

Garcia would blast Khan 10/10 times because Khan lacks two things, a) a chin, b) any sort of ring IQ. Khan plays it safe against Garcia and keeps his distance and boxes, he wins an easy decision. Manny & Kellerman (iirc) commented several times throughout the first couple of rounds on how Khan was being unnecessarily aggressive and giving Garcia chances.

Like I said, I wouldn't even pick Garcia over a prime Zab Judah, and I don't really hold a prime Judah in high esteem

If Khan were actually a quality techncian, he could beat Garcia. But he's not. Therefore, any strategy he tried to implement would have result in a loss.

    Garcia is a quality fighter.

Why would you think you'd need to be a quality technician to beat Garcia? You don't need to be a quality technician to play keep-away boxbot for 12 rounds. You think if Khan hadn't been aggressive and careless, he would've still gotten KO'd by Garcia? Khan is just dumb as shit, he lost that fight for himself.

He's certainly capable of throwing 1-2s, keeping distance, and getting on his bike when needed. That's all he'd need to do to beat Garcia. Garcia isn't exactly a quality technician himself.

khan is bound to get cracked when he fights garcia. whether he can bank rounds and survive 12 rounds is a possibility. but he would get hit and hurt at some point

Thurman being overrated big time here

I'd favor Garcia in that matchup

Whatever flaws Garcia has, Thurman has as many or more
