George Groves vs Chris Eubank Jr

I still think Eubank will outlast him but I could see Groves try to take the Saunders approach and try to box CEj from the outside, kinda like he tried with DeGale.

 

Good preview on ITV4 for this. Looking firward to this fight now.

Had a dream Groves knocked Junior out in 3 rounds.

 

I watched Junior's last fight against that Turk. I can admit I was probably wrong about him... the kid can fight a bit. Nice handspeed and variety. I just don't trust Groves' durability. Im pretty confident Junior is gonna stop him.

I missed the beginning of the 3rd, Eubank narrowly controlled the latter part

 

If 4th Groves seemed to land the cleaner shots until the last seconds when Eubank attacked well. Crowd booed the lack of action.

Very close and dull so far

 

Things heat up a little in the 5th as Eubank landed couple of roundhouse lefts that seemed to bother Groves, who in turn rabbit-punches like a mofo but his precision might look good to the judges

 

Eubank takes more risks and tries more attacks, but they end up in messy infighting where no-one lands very cleanly.

I think Eubank deserves to lead by a point at halfway, but it could be 5-1 for Groves just as well

 

Eubank Jr just can´t get close and when he does, Groves ties him up.

British commentators are high on Groves so far apparently, to me it is very close

Groves took the 8th by landing some big ones, but Eubank took them well

Eubank looks amateurish as he at times misses wildly, but Groves isn't landing that much either. If correct stance wins rounds, he dominates

 

yeah, I don't see why these commentators are acting like this is a walk in the parc. Really close so far
