    You´re missing the point.
    MMA, for all its growth, is still not consdiered a majorly popular sport compared to Boxing - regardless of the latter´s decline - but I assure you more people have heard of McGregor globally than Crawford/Loma/Ward/GGG/Kov combined....

    No, I totally get your point, and I strongly agree. Nobody knows who the fuck Crawford, Loma, Ward, and Kov are.

    GGG is a SEMI-star, but far from a superstar, and a lot less popular than McGregor.

    McGregor's more popular than Canelo globally.... but Canelo's more popular in any Latin country.

    the UK and Mexico dont represent the whole world.

    MMA is more popular in Asia, Brazil, Canada. MMA and Kickboxing are neck and neck with boxing in Australia. I see it passing boxing there soon. MMA/UFC is also making huge moves to Mexico. Putting on shows regularly and trying to find mexican stars. Unfortunately that will take much longer. So MMA is global too.

    MMA is 2nd most popular sport after Football/Soccer here - hence the number of gyms who incorporate it (i.e. pretty much all)
