Lol. Y'all don't criticize Hagler for fighting and old blown up lightweight called Duran but GGG shouldn't fight the undefeated Brook?

Now I get it, I'm disappointed too and it does look like GGG is avoiding big challenges as much as Canelo is, however this type of shit has happened frequently in the past. What's the difference?

The funny thing is Brook would obviously knock Khan out without much trouble. He's also taking a big risk against GGG so I'm not sure what you're trying prove bashing Brook.

Sometimes fighters just seem to start out on the wrong foot with the public and that seems to be the case with Brook in England.

What big challenges is he avoiding? Who could he have fought on this date?

Based on Brook's resume, I'm not even sure he could have beaten Maidana and Judah the way Khan did. And here's the thing about Brook. All of his fights that he's negotiating have one thing in common. They never come off and Eddie Hearn gets on youtube running his fucking gob about how the other guy "don't want it!"

Brandon Rios "don't want it!" Diego Chaves "don't want it!" Errol Spence Jr. "don't want it!" Khan's camp "wants an 80/20 split to fight." (Which was proven to be an outright lie.) And who knows what happened to the Vargas unification fight before this sideshow act was signed instead. What do they all have in common. Eddie Hearn negotiating, the fights never coming off because of the OTHER guy's team. Apparently the only guys who "want it" against Brook are the corpses they dig up to fight him.

Brook is certainly racking up a tremendous mythical CV of foes he's easily vanquished. Unfortunately, he doesn't seem to actually want to fight a single one of them.

So if Brook had been a dominant lightweight instead of an undefeated Welterweight, he would have been a more viable opponent?

Duran had better wins at welter than Brook and he had good wins at Jr. Middle. So it's not really comparable. It's more like Duran going up to fight Leonard except Brook hasn't established himself as the #1 at his weight.

    1. Because Khan is fragile, past prime and plainly was never that good and Brook is prime and strong and plainly better at this point and I don't have any reason to pretend no to see it.

    2. I guess Caligula and MTF care because they're bringing him up as if he's been relevant in the past 5 years or so.

Brook is older than Khan, has had more fights than Khan and looks 'strong' because he's fighting opponents who are not ranked in the top 20 of the division and cokehead lightweights. These are important asterixes to add to your otherwise sensible points.

Sorry to upset you but Brook really has had more fights than Khan and really is older and really has defended his 'title' against two people not ranked highly by anyone credible and another man who is a career lightweight and nicknamed himself 'funtime' in jocular reference to his fondness for cocaine.

These aren't opinions. They are an irrefutable state of affairs.

    'If you say so'.

I like Brook's right hand, it's quick, hard and accurate. Won't mean shit though as he isn't going to get past Golovkin's jab to be able to land it.

A good punch is a good punch, regardless of who it's landing on. I'm just saying he delivers the shot well.

You're a big Khan fan, aren't you? Realistically how would you like his chances against someone like Brook at this point?

    No.

I'm using Duran Hagler as an example that fighting a smaller fighter moving up is not without precedent.

I would have picked Khan on points before the Canelo fight but I admit it wouldn't have been with confidence. As I said, Brook's straight right is a very good shot and there's a good chance he could have caught Amir with it mid-flurry and finished him.

Brook obviously has slept with a lot of people's girlfriends around here.

Brook doesn't fight anyone. Brook is afraid. Brook...

The guy is signed to fight a top 5 p4p guy who is two weight classes above him, undefeated, and perhaps the best fighter in the sport p4p. The time to go all bitch on him was before he signed for the fight or after he does something to prevent it from happening. Right now, all you can do is hope he gets his ass handed to him if you hate him. Implying he's a coward, at this point, only makes you look stupid.

Of all the fighters who have moved up in weight you chose to cite Duran and Hagler. Pure coincidence I'm sure.

Anyone who claims that Brook has a 'decent claim to be the best welterweight in the world not named Mayweather', based on Brook's career to date, has absolutely no business calling anyone stupid.

    Brook ain't got no losses.

Look on the bright side, if Brook were to pull the unthinkable and KO GGG...would mean we'd finally get to see Mayweather-GGG.

Exaxtly. Duran was the junior middle champ when he faced Hagler. Not comparable to Brooks at all

Forget the names and the legend. Even forget the fact that Duran is better than Brook for a minute. Isn't the issue at hand that GGG is fighting a welterweight?
