    Looks like Arum has a PPV scheduled the week before featuring Jr., Soto, Montiel, and Castillo.

    The only fight on it though that looks like it has a chance of being competitive is Castillo/Antonio Diaz, and that's only because both guys are so shot. Could make for some good action though.

    the old " lumbar spine sprain" throws a monkey wrench in gbp's plans. maybe the flushing flash can take casamayor's spot.

    most people have no idea who the heavyweight champion of the world is

    the title doesnt even mean much to the general public

    the average person cant name a single boxing champion

    Cdogg, I agree that boxing isn't in the golden ages anymore, but it's still very much alive, it's just that it isn't america's favorite sport aymore. it's popularity has grown in europe, the ex-soviet countries and other places. The growth of basketball, NFL and other american sports, and the lack of, yes, american stars has clouded it in the states, but boxing will never die per se. There's a reason why GPB, DKP and Top Rank make millions off it.
