4 years ago I'd go with Martinez . Now I think Golovkin would take him down.

Even this Martinez brings a lot more to the table than anyone else Gaybox has fought, but Gaybox would still batter him.

I have encountered this sort of reality before. Resume's mean jack in some circumstances and this is just one of them. For what its worth, Martinez is the true gaybox, a button masher who hides behind a southpaw stance.

yeah your right. its just a case of the lesser known guy wanting the money fight. so whatever suits the agenda is what they go to bat with.

Yeah I see Martinez ahead on the cards after 6 then Gaybox hunts him down and destroys him.

This. Martinez is ripe for the taking. The Martinez who fought Pavlik was a different animal.

They had to stop that. Stevens was wilting bigtime in that last round. The pressure and workrate Golovkin put on him was impressive, considering Stevens throws them so fast. Golovkin was able to counter that speed with the jab somewhat, but the thing that struck me the most was that Golovkin just never let Stevens rest. That kind of constant pressure is intimidating, and he was just hammering Stevens' eye shut.

I don't think Martinez would take a round against Golovkin. He'd get corpsed up.

He'll be a small super-middleweight, but his power might carry up to the weight. He's not all about power, IMO. He's got the talent and brain to compete at 168.

I'd like to see Golovkin clean up at 160, which I think he would, but in today's boxing World he might not get the fights to achieve this.

I think boxing needs a longstanding MW champ. If he moves up he might lose the size advantage and won't steamroll through the competition. Ward reigns supreme at that weight class.

What size advantage? With the exception of Proksa and Stevens, the two smallest middleweights I've ever seen, he's looked smaller than most of his other opponents. Including Rosado, a 154 pounder.

Nah, just winding nightie boy up.

Did you read my post above? Gaybox is not a big middleweight.
