Rafael Marquez would be a great fight for the viewers and the sport as well...toe to toe action, Im a slick boxer thats really great on the inside that loves a brawl in the middle of the ring, it would be the kinda fight that dont even need a referee!! u know?

The other two Im not that familar with, I think one or both have signed to oscars promo co.?

    Seriously though...

I respect a man who has the guts an ambition to become a professional prizefighter. I certainly didn't.

I wish you all the best G Tucker, but I'm afraid that the only man present that can afford to go into business with you is our resident millionaire...PetreTG.

You have my emotional backing, for sure. And I hope to see you on HBO in the near future.

However...1 million dollar purse in two years in the lower weight classes...may not be realistic.

I'm proud to say that my boxing achievements include scheduling "an appointment" with StingerKarl behind the Houston bathhouse, only for him to back out at the last minute. My reputation preceded me and I could hear fear in Karl's voice when he called me and beg me to forgive him and not inflict too much physical pain on him.

    Again, ignore these cowards.
Use your ignore feature on the chicken typists Gerald, and your experience on fightbeat will be a pleasant one as there are some real knowledgeable fans here.

Thanks, thanks, I respect that alot, to get that kind of money you have to make yourself a fighter that has alot of fans that either want to see me win because they love my style, the way I looks, my image, my credentials, my credibility and/or have alot of fans that want to see him get his a$* kicked!! i plan on finding a way to get some of both...some fighters have had many multi-million dollar paydays around the lightweight division, so I wont be the first, but I definitely want to make the list!!

When you fought Waldemar Font, what did you think about the Cuban style of boxing?

What about their style presented the most difficulty?

    Vegas

I am going back home to Vegas this summer, and I'd like to do a feature for fightbeat on Gerald.
Roger Mayweather was one of my heroes when I was fighting, and I met him at the Gold Coast Casino the night of Leonard-Hearns 2, and he is a super nice guy.
In fact, Floyd Mayweather and I had the same dressing room in Houston the night he whipped Art Mcknight and I had won an amateur bout prior to the pro card portion getting started.
Floyd was a really nice fella as well.
My biography on Mando Ramos is on the World Boxing Hall of Fame's website under "About Us", and perhaps Tucker can ascend to an outstanding career.

I have a better deal, which is more fair for both of us. I will be your representation, but I will be taking 60%, and you will pay me a $50K signing bonus to be your manager. You will then pay me $10K monthly for my managerial services.

In addition to training, you will also be required to be my driver, do my laundry and translate Reed's posts into legible English for me. You will not be allowed to speak to any media, as I will do all the talking. You will be allowed to express yourself via interperative dance, providing it doesn't suck.

This deal is eternal, and I will be taking my cut from any income you may generate, be it from boxing, other job, lottery winning, inheritance, etc.

If you don't fight for a Million Dollar purse within the first 2 years, my take increases by 10%, and 5% each year after that.

I have the financial backing of a deposed Nigerian prince, so you are assured the best management available.

If you're interested, have your lawyers contact me, and I'll have my people draw up the paperwork.

    TFK

Gerald, I read through the posts trying to find out if you were being sarcastic with this stupid claim. You are here looking for a manager and big money support and you say something as idiotic as this? Come on.

Right now, you are worth zero to a manager. You are fat and out of shape and haven't fought in almost 6 years.

Fact is, you don't need a manager, you need wins. Here's my free advice. Don't fight anyone with a pulse for at least 5 fights. Once you're 10-0-1, you might get some interest. Until then, you either need to support yourself, have a chick or relative support you, or get unbelievably lucky in finding a sucker manager.

    Funny Story!!

    Funny story!!
Everyone feared the Cubans, I dont fear any one, but since everyone was scared and hoping that they didnt get a cuban in the tournament draw the first day...it made me nervous, but i had seen alot of em fight many times in other international tournaments that i fought in, up until the semifinals the cubans had won every fight they had, they were undefeated, so this added to my nervousness, but I was cool, Waldemar was knocking guys out left and right..i beat the mexiacn champ 24-4 giving him 2 standing eight counts, and the peruvian 9-0, i had the only shut-out of the tournament against the peruvian, so the day of my fight with the cuban, we weigh-in the morning, at lunch the whole cuban team walked passed me in the lunchroom and gave me the throatslit action, saying "im dead"!!! I go back to my room for my lil knap before a fight, and i have a "wet dream" in my sleep, (they say that busting one takes all of your energy and all of yor leg strength) so now im even more nervous!! Sorry for the long story, but i needed to reminisce for a sec...but most of them have styles that was similar to mines at that time, they can move on there feet, they know how and when to score, and they are extremely conditioned! I think me and the flyweight Omar Narvaez were the only two non-cubans to win Gold, so 10 cubans took home the gold..Omar Navarez is currently the world champion in the pros at flyweight i believe...i beat Omar in Bangkok Thailand in the first round of the tournament.

he was a very very slick southpaw with power in both hands, that was the most difficult part of the fight........the fight was like a ches match, it was close 8-7, they say he got in big big big trouble when he lost that night, they used to get smacked around big time! by there coaches back then.

That's the stuff I want to read. I just find it amazing that you beat Font. Is it a Cuban thing to do the "throat-slit" gesture to other boxers? Joel Casamayor did it to Floyd Mayweather Jr at a press conference and Floyd was pissed off as fuck.
