Uh, you're right. I'm not objective as I was a huge fan of Trinidad's and might have been expected to downplay the whole fiasco.

 

Seriously man its not that simple. When Margarito loaded his gloves everyone agreed it was criminal and rightfully so. So how come the same rules dont apply to Trinidad? I'm saying lets not be so quick to dissmiss it and sweep it under the rug cause its Trinidad. Let's call a spade a spade.

 

If you took a little time to inform yourself and get the facts straight you’d understand the 2 situations are different. If Tito had been caught like Margarito with an additional padding that looked and felt like cast you’d have a point but it was never what was reproached to Papa Trinidad. It was the way he was wrapping to protect his son’s hands that was the issue. Tape and gauze layers, only that. Some people seem to believe he had an anvil in his gloves. Do you really believe all other corners that checked on his wraps were easily fooled? Trinidad had over 20 championship fights! It was all mind games to get a psychological edge and it might have worked!

 

I know that, we were both posting on seconds out and I also know that once you’ve made up your mind on something, it’s close to impossible to make you budge. You’ve been convinced for a long time that Tito had loaded gloves and I’ve seen you argue about that too many times to count. So yeah, I know there isn’t anything I can say that will make you change your mind.
