These are the fighters of my time that I always tuned in to watch: Roy Jones Jr. Trinidad Pacquiao Erik Morales Mickey Ward Gatti
I give you mad respect for listing him, especially from a non-American. Roy Jones Junior has stated in the past that he admires Salvador Sanchez' boxing skills the most. Massive props, Sanchez was beautiful to watch. :bears:
only seen his fight with Azumah Nelson (his last fight I think), that was a great fight, but probably not his best performance. Hard to believe he was only 23 when he died. :eeeek:
Bert Cooper ran hot and cold. Some of his fights, like the ones with Moorer, Holyfield and Mercer were classic, but then you had nights like the Bowe demolition or the Foreman quitting. But given the right opponent and mind-frame, yeah he belongs on the list.
nah....true technicians are endlessly watchable like films by a virtuouso director, baby. Every frame is there for a reason. Watching Duran-Cuevas or Locche-Cervantes NEVER gets old to me.
De la Hoya. He's a guy I've always hated but he's had a lot of entertaining fights. Vargas. I haven't seen him listed. Mosley. I'm surprised that only one person has mentioned him. Young Tyson. Only two people listed him. He's the reason I got interested in boxing. :dunno:
Oh my God, Gatti...you owe it to yourself to get more Sanchez fights. I listed him as well...one of my absolute faves, great technician and counterpuncher who also liked to mix it up and did when he had to. Peace.
Jose Antonio Aguirre Veeraphol Sahaprom Trash Nakamura Takefumi Sakata Masahiko Harada Ruben Olivares Julio Cesar Chavez Yory Boy Campas Roberto Vasquez Jose Napoles Wilfredo Gomez Salvador Sanchez Marvin Hagler Michael Carbajal Matthew Franklin Yaqui Lopez Joe Frazier Julian Jackson Carl Thompson Alexis Arguello
hearns is great to watch but have you ever tried listening to him talk holy one too many punches to the head
A great list; similar to quite a few of mine... But where, oh WHERE, are Ike Quartey and Danny Willliams? :nono:
