I thought you were talking WWE! Nevermind, I was going to say Silva never wrestled The Big Show, but Floyd handed him his ass!:mj:

I think Trplsec knows that Floyd wrestled The Big Show. But you do know that Anderson hasn't right?

I don't think I've ever had a beef with you, but just to REALLY state the facts: Anderson is a Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu expert who dabbles in boxing. Let me know when Floyd dabbles in MMA, BJJ, or Muay Thai and what his record is.

He's 1-0 in wrestling against a guy 4 times his size.

    Even in other sports, undefeated.

Chuck Norris ???? DAMN! Chuck Norris forgot more about martial arts than Steven Seagal ....forgot about martial arts. Point is they're both old and forget things but even given that Steven Seagal invents a damn kick, tells Anderson to wait 3 minutes and then kick him. Fight over. It's like he was playing as Anderson in a video game. What else do you need man ?

So your saying that Anderson Silva couldn't cut it in Boxing.

I don't think Anderson could cut it in boxing. I think he could be a champion in K-1. But no, he hasn't trained enough in boxing to get to an elite level. Just like Floyd couldn't cut it pro wrestling.

Silva. He's bigger, just as savvy, a better striker, and is no slouch on the floor. People talking about Sonnen don't realize Silva underestimated him. He won't make the same mistake with GSP.

I dont think Silva underestimated Silva. EVERYTHING sonnen did to Silva was exactly what Sonnen/Dana and many people were predicting. Many felt silva would not be able to stop sonnen's takedowns.

Well, personally I think GSP is the superior fighter by far. I'm not sure what the UFC's agenda is, shouting from the rooftops that Silva is easily #1 P4P, but he isn't, GSP is.

I think GSP wins unless he gets hit square on the jaw. It really depends on how well he can manage to avoid Anderson's accurate, unpredictable strikes.

If he can not get hit flush, he wins. He'll do what Sonnen did, basically. Sure he is smaller than Sonnen, but he was freakishly strong for his size, and significantly more skilled.

Wrestling is the only area where GSP is the better fighter. But in addition to what you listed, I will also add that some of the natural things are in Silva's favor as well.

Silva is a naturally better athlete. Silva has the better chin. And Silva has better reflexes.

Silva can make mistakes and get away with it. If GSP makes a mistake against Silva, he is asleep.

    I don't think it's even a debate unless they fought at 170.

For me I think that makes it more competitive than 185.

One thing I wonder though, will it be a title fight at 178? If this is a 3 rounder at 178, GSP's chances go way up.

Bob Arum isn't in on the negotiations so I'd doubt it.

I would go with GSP. I think his stand up is under rated and definitely good enough to at least let him get the fight to the ground. Anderson doesn't have good enough td defense to stop GSP taking him down.
