You think it's not already set? Guerrero has been talking about this for a while now. He didn't jump up two weight classes for nothing. Now he won a "title" So now Floyd won't be fighting a small guy, and he will be fighting a champion.

It's happening, Floyd is not above this. In fact, he's probably behind this. I don't think it's any mystery why Guerrero jumped up not one but two weight classes to fight for the WBC belt.

 

Hmm, unless it's a big coincidence, you guys might be right. It's a bit weird his name was bandied around a while ago, now suddenly he jumps up to Floyd's division and wins a title from some scrub.

I don't get all the 50 bashing here. He's actually trying to do something good for the sport. His high profile celebrity can only help in attracting younger fans. So what's the problem?

Fighters attract fans. On occasion they attract steve_dave, but generally, they attract fans. Not the managers. They attract law_suits.

Very few people do. Not since I started following boxing in 1985 have I ever been less confident in the people claiming to be major players in the business. Back then, you had...Mickey Duff, Don King, Bob Arum, The Duva's. Scummy but recognizable. Of course, they had the talent to work with too, but they knew how to develop talent.

Fiddy couldn't develop a case of sores not if he stayed in bed for a year. What he knows about anything adds up to ti-ti. Very little.
