    I agree with you on Alvarez improving. Not by large amounts, but moderate improvements such as defense and accuracy/punch placement.


    I disagree about the uppercut thing though. Cotto has always been a sucker for the uppercut. Plasterito destroyed him all night with uppercuts, he landed them throughout. Mayweather landed an awful lot too, the most he landed since Jesus Chavez in 2001. Judah, Torres, and Pacquiao may have not landed as many in pure number as Canelo, but they all dropped/stunned Cotto with uppercuts.

    It's always been his Achilles heel on defense.
