Hate to say it, but I've changed my mind on Canelo-Lara

Rigo won that fight but it wasn't like he put on a masterclass. A masterclass to me is something like rjj-Toney or Floyd-Corrales.

WTF, if Gondo Vs Donaire isn't a masterclass almost nothing is.

Donaire was considered a P4Per, barely landed a punch, and was made to look like a clueless scrub.

Agreed. I dunno wtf RJ is talking about.

Donaire was universally considered top 3 P4P, and Rigo made him look totally inept for 12 rounds.

I don't even like that boring Cuban bastard, but it was the best pure boxing clinic put on in recent years.

Well, Donaire did knock Rigondeaux down so I don't know how anyone could say he barely landed a punch. He was clearly out-boxed but let's not overlook the basic facts.

I think Lara will be called "Laura" after this fight

Literally the only second of that fight he wasn't hopelessly outclassed. Donaire is a tremendous fighter. Beating him that comprehensively was incredible

Well we can agree to disagree. Rigo won most of the rounds by landing 5 jabs to 1. He got dropped in the fight so he got hit.

He got dropped so not sure how he made him look inept for 12 rounds. Rigo hardly did anything in the bout and Nonito did less. That's why HBO don't even want to put him on the air.

    :lol::lol::lol:

Lara just said in the press yesterday "If Oscar wants to get in the ring, I'll bust him in his mouth also."

Lara has to be thinking KO here. He's gotta know he won't get a decision.

UNLESS, Oscar misread the quote, and thought Lara said "If Oscar wants to get in the ring, I'll bust in his mouth."

In which case, Hoya will probably take him to a dinner and a movie.

Rigo obviously won. However It just wasn't a masterclass. Rigo landed 9 more power punches over 12 rounds. Not exactly a masterclass.

The question is how will Lara's chin hold up. I got Lara winning the fight but I question his chin.

trout got dropped because of a good shot not because he was in the middle of going for broke because open scoring had him behind, as you suggest. trout fought the same low intensity fight as usual all 12 rds open scoring changed nothing. he left the fight on the table not throwing enough hardly because he was forced to be aggressive

i havent changed my mind on the outcome mexican school > cuban school

Still don't get the Canelo hype. He's kind of a scrub. I'd be surprised to see him win this.
