perhaps you aren't smart enough to think back.

when has hatton acted like that in a presser? never has hatton shittalked someone like that.

however, floyd has done it numerous times and is a loudmouth.

so obviously if hatton was badmouthing floyd and floyd was just taking it, it would be more of a surprise and people (me included) would be saying that floyd got punked.

but i don't expect you to understand that.

Perhaps he thinks that since you're Puerto Rican and a minority, you'd automatically root against an Anglo-Saxon. :dunno:

bullshit...you were the one who started with the mma is closest to real life fighting and phonetap countered. bottom line, you keep switching up your argument but we both know if sherk would have fought mayweather, there would be no kicks or any sort of stand up strikes from the guy at mayweather. the first thing the roided up wrestler would try to do is get mayweather to the ground so he could get a submission or get on top and start punching. it would be stupid for sherk to try to engage floyd in stand up strikes and you know it. phonetap may not know much about mma but he knows at least that...

Fuck Hatton and his army of British thugs. Floyd needs to beat his ass for the betterment of humanity. Floyd has to win to destroy what Hatton represents.

This is like Joe Louis vs Max Schmeling all over again.

    Yup. Same here.

And that's exactly where I'm coming from - has nothing to do with my preference or dislike for Hatton or Mayweather.

    Peace.

It´s more about substance with me than nationality or culture or skin colour.
Regardless I would have sided with the guy, who didn´t open with "You are a girl, I wish we were in a room alone." Ricky Hatton deserves an academy award just for keeping a straight face.

It's a lot more complicated than that my friend Hut. A boxer may use his hands on the street, but when the distance is closed, it favours the grappler. In boxing, when 2 guys get into a clinch, it's broken up by the ref. Who's gonna break up the clinch on the street? If the wrestler locks that clinch like say Randy Couture would do to Bernard Hopkins for example, there's only 1 outcome; Hopkins gets picked up and slammed down on his neck.
The advantage of the boxer is using space to throw his punches. If that space is lost, then it's the wrestler's or grappler's game. Again I ask, what makes you or phonetap truly believe that an MMA fighter is going to be rolling on the ground looking for an armbar or some form of submission?
There's a lot more to MMA than that. That's where the ignorance begins with phonetap, the point that I'm making.
As for Fedor, if you saw his fights earlier in his career where he saw a possible threat on the feet, he shot in with a double leg underhook or greco clinch(bearhug) and took the opponent off his feet and slammed him down hard. He didn't try to outbox the opponent.
It's just the ignorance of guys like Floyd and phonetap who see MMA as nothing but 'rolling on the ground like drunks' that I don't get.

Whether U were "Surprised" or Not, Floyd just STANDING there w/ Hatton N his Face would B NO MORE of a "Sign" than Hatton Doing that w/Floyd N HIS Face...

But Thanks for ADMITTING that YOU'D Make MORE of it than Necessary,DUMBASS....

REED Suggests U Crawl BACK Inside Witter's ASSHOLE, Cause U're Not Functioning Well OUTSIDE of it...

Ah, so we have no beef then. I don't get why you said what you said about me though. Most everything I posted revolves around Hatton/Floyd. Got a little off topic for a while since I called Floyd a phony as a thug.

i just thought it was funny that your last several posts were MMA-related, yet you accused someone else of going off topic - and on THAT subject no less.

exactly. The only black/white issue involved in Louis-Schmelling was the film they used.

Sadly, though, I can see this fight becoming a matter of race. (if it hasn't already)

And yet you eroneously accused Jake of supporting Jake when he's CLEARLY in Hatton's corner.

Your thinking of things through a sporting paradigm though Hanzy. In a fair, sporting 1 on 1 fight like the ones you get in MMA or the ones you saw in High school a grappler beats a boxer 7/10, no doubt. What Im talking about is how the skills transfer to a street environment, where you dont have fair one on one fights and your certainly not likely to be fighting a skilled grappler. You're gonna be fighting a random guy who might have a blade in his pocket, or a guy who's mate is ready to blind side you and probably in an environment where a dozen drunk guys who have fuck all to do with the fight are looking for an outlet for their aggression if you give them it. A boxers skills are much more readily tranferable in that situation than say Sean Sherk's, IMO.

Ignoring knowledge and indulging in echolocation.
Fraud's fights against Baldomir and De La Hoya didn't draw much if any racial tension, yet his fight with Hatton does?..... I don't get it?...Not even Fraud's boogie-man Margarito, makes Fraud groupies 'racially tense',... what's up with it?....it's not even a 'domestic American' thing, because Hatton's from Britain,..so how does it work?...:crafty:

Yes, that is correct. No argument there. But a more well rounded MMA fighter like say a GSP or a CroCop have other facets they can use on the street. Afterall, I think people tend to forget that different MMA fighters have different strengths. Not all of them like to 'roll on the ground'. Some are wrestlers, some are submission experts, some are Judo experts, some are kickboxers, some are boxers, etc.
I'd give a CroCop or Gonzaga an equally good chance to defend themselves on the street than any boxer out there. A good kickboxer or muay fighter is not one to be overlooked. But I don't think phonetap realizes that.
A lot of the time, we have to look at individual skill rather than just making generalizations. Especially considering that 99% of the world isn't trained in fighting.

it was inevitable and there's NOTHING sad about it. Injecting some race into it just makes it more juicy. Nothing wrong with spicing things up a bit.
