You and your Lazcano dick riding has become tiresome over the years. You swore he would beat Harris, he lost, now you suggest he can beat Hatton.

You are correct though. Lazcano is past his prime. Even in his prime he wouldnt beat Hatton though, but he woulda put up a decent fight.

Are there really people who think that Hatton, whilst taking fights against Tsyzu, travelling to the States and fighting Castillo and finally Floyd Mayweather Jr, the best fighter in the world, has been scared for years of Junior Witter?

The biggest laugh is that many of the people now giving Witter major props as 'the best' at 140 are the same people who, prior to the Harris fight, were calling him a bum and worse. So beating a shot Vivian Harris makes Junior 'the best' @ 140, huh?

Hatton has NEVER lost at 140. Paulie's belt was 'inherited' when Hatton stepped up to fight Floyd; Paulie NEVER beat Hatton for that belt. Witter has fought a whole load of garbage in his entire career to win and then retain his belt. Gavin Rees, for those who don't know (and there are clearly some here who are not up with events as they are too busy slating Hatton), is due to fight (and will surely lose to) Kotelnik late next month for his belt.

This is why he is still 'the champion' at 140. For any of that lot to be considered as such, they have to beat Hatton or Hatton has to lose to a supposedly 'lesser' guy and show that he is past his best.

REED is absolutely right on this one. Witter should shut the fuck up and get his ass to the states and make some noise. He should fight whoever he can get for exposure's sake and make sure he KO's whoever it is in impressive style. Then he should beat Hatton to the punch and call out Paulie. Witter would beat Paulie IMO and then Hatton would be cornered- Witter would finally have some cash leverage, a US following AS WELL as being the unified champ.

Hatton would then HAVE to fight to retain any legitimacy as the No1 @ 140, and he knows it.

Hatton is entitled to fight Lazcarno next time out IMO. He got KTFO in his last fight and suffered his first 'L'. He needs a workout to re-accustom himself to the weight and regain some confidence. Then I see no reason why he shouldn't get 'his' belt back from Paulie and, so long as Witter has kept his side of the bargain, the fight WILL happen in 12-18 months.

The laugh is that, if Hatton fought Witter tomorrow and KHTFO, there would be people on here whining about 'how Junior hasn't beaten anyone anyway' and how 'Hatton should be fighting Paulie for 'his' belt' and laughing at Attraction et al. :laughing:

If anyone says that weight only affects Hatton then they are patently wrong- it affects many fighters. Nigel Benn is the most obvious example. He was a monster hitter at 160, but he was only a strong puncher at 168. The difference was marked and unexplained. Kelly Pavlik may also be another example- see how effective his shots were in the first fight v Taylor compared to the second?

It does happen, a lot of times. Some people just have that problem, some (like your boy Floyd) do not.

I don't object at all to the Floyd fight being mentioned when relevant, but it is brought up in any Hatton thread and it is now monotonous. The Floyd fight has very little to do with this thread, other than it being used as a reason for Hatton to step back a little and have a confidence booster before fighter Paulie and/or Witter.

And I never said that I wanted to be bummed by Lex Steele (or anyone else for that matter) ::. Re-read my post to clarify brother...
