Every time Margarito wanted to start his offense, Pacquaio would up his output. That's when Pacquaio would increase his power connects.

Fourth round was the most damaging and where the downhill started for Margarito. The brutal left uppercut SLASHED Antonio's right eye. Then the body shot that cut Margarito in half. Slowed him down proper after that.

If Pacquaio has the power to hurt Margarito, he can also hurt Paul Williams or Sergio Martinez.

PLEASE keep Mosley away from this machine. Mosley had a great career, but WHY take a shellecking from this guy to end his career?

Obviously he could make the weight to fight winner of Alexander-Bradley at 140. He could fight Marquez a 3rd time at 140.

Mayweather is the only ONE capable of beating Pacquaio. Manny is his greatest opponent. If Floyd can't be motivated to compete against this guy, then Pacquaio defeated him even BEFORE they ever laced gloves.

We are witnessing something SPECIAL. His COMPASSION CARRIED Margarito the last few rounds. Pacquaio is boxing, boxing is Pacquaio. Next level for Manny: DIVINITY. What he has already achieved: IMMORTALITY.

He doesn't need his MOUTH to promote a fight. He just PERFORMS. He took punches from a SUPERMIDDLEweight tonight. He was 148. There is no better lightweight, no better jrwelter, no better welter, probably no better jrmiddle.

    Chill for a second.

Pacquiao just dominated Margarito for 12 rounds.

But..and correct me if I'm wrong...didn't Shane Mosley do the same thing a couple years ago..only in his case he outright knocked him out?

Let's keep it in perspective. Pacman needs Mayweather..the same Mayweather who dominated Mosley who dominated Margarito...the same Mayweather who dominated Marquez who gave hell to pacquiao...the same Mayweather who's undefeated and untied.

Manny doesn't need Floyd at this point but I hope it happens. This is an even matchup.

Are you seriously comparing the Marquez who fought PAC to the Marquez who fought Mayweather?

Pacquaio just beat Margarito at Margarito's natural weight. He can retire right now and be considered top 20 at WORST.

Floyd now needs Pacquaio. He stated that 147 should all fight in a tournament in order to face him. Pacquiao slaughtered all of them.

Be careful what you wish for. I am a Floyd fan but if he does not face Pacquiao he can't claim all time great status, now if he beats Pacquiao or gives him a tough fight, he can. This is probably the greatest matchup in my lifetime.

I am a Floyd fan and think he can win but after last night, I'm not so sure.

Floyd had a chance to fight Margarito and opted a grand total of $1 more to fight Baldomir.

Pac is right by saying Floyd needs him not the other way around. Pac's way up higher on the all-time list than Floyd no matter what the outcome of that fight (if it happens).

In pac you're seriously talking about a potential top 10 all-time guy.

Floyd doesn't rank anywhere near Leonard...who is a top 20 guy.

If you run a list of possible guys Manny could have fought there's check marks next to virtually every name.

if you run the same list of guys Floyd could have fought there's a long list of names missing from the list.

Ironically, Manny's list will contain names of guys Floyd flat out refused to fight. That says it all.

There's no argument against him being inactive. However you want to cut it, going in Margarito had fought 10 rounds in about a year and a half. That's inactive.

    I know.

Sort of like the intensity and aggression (at times) of Duran combined with the speed and footwork of Leonard.

Obviously not a true "hybrid", but pretty close.

Mayweather would have beat them anyway so it doesn't matter.

I have a question. Why does Manny make his fighters enter into the ring weighing less than what they should. If you are gonna challenge a bigger man then fight him at his weight. Why all the concessions. I'll Holla 5000

Ask Margarito if he had problems with his preparation and with the contracted weight. He will tell that wasn't the problem. PACQUAIO was his problem.

Those guys all TOWERED over him in height and in SIZE.

Next you will want to fight Paul Williams at 160. That's not going to happen. If he can come down to 147-150, you don't have to ask Pacquaio twice.

Floyd will totally dominate PAC if they fight

I just don't get why people hate on Floyd when Pac is the one refusing to drug test and preventing the fight

The only opponent i saw that really weaken himself to make the weigh was DLH... :giggle: but he, like 90% of the boxing fans/world though he was gonna trash Pacquiao...too big too strong...

Pac fought Hatton at 140(his best weight) he fought Clottey at 147...he fought Margarito at 150 and Margarito has fought most of his career at 147 so if ANYTHING Margarito should have been stronger because he didn't have to make 147....

and Cotto at 145...or 147 it would not make a difference...Pacquiao throws to many punches from too many angles..he throws a flurry of 5-6 punches, rolls under his opponent punch resets and unleashes more combinations ...

If Mayweather doesn't happen, I'd love to see Pacquiao in there against the Martinez/Williams II winner for the middleweight championship. Seriously.

 If Mayweather had just sign the contracts and proven it..HE really COULD HAVE dominated Cotto, Margarito, Clottey w/ ease..sure thing...they were just not worthy of HIM..:boohoo:

Floyd fought Baldomir the champ, who at the time was more proven than Margarito. Both Margarito and Baldomir have average talent and speed but in 2006 when Floyd fought Baldo and "ducked" Margarito Baldo had more significant wins. Not to mention Baldos biggest wins are not disputable.

Floyd haters can keep re-writing history.

It means that Floyd is scared to fight Pacman now but after he fights and beats Pacman, Floyd will get 0 credit. Just like with Shane when everybody on here was saying he was scared and ducking Shane after the JMM fight.
