Mayweather turned down a Margarito fight a week or so after he fought Judah.

His pay for the Baldomir fight...$8 million and ONE DOLLAR. Check the bout sheets to see if I'm making this up.

Truth of the matter is Floyd didn't want a tough fight was taking the easiest road to get to DLH.

Nothing has changed four years later...all roads lead to Mayweather...scratch that...all EASY roads lead to Mayweather.

I don't recall Floyd being "set" to fight Spinks which in reality was ridiculous considering Judah KO's Spinks the previous year. Baldomir was a journeyman setup fight for Judah whose dumb ass fucked around and lost.

The point most made at the time was why fight Judah coming off a loss. Most thought Margarito was the next best welter NOT Baldomir. Most said at least fight the lineal champion...to which Floyd responded to by fighting Judah.

It wasn't until after the Judah fight when Floyd went down the Baldomir road. be honest...which presented a tougher fight...Baldomir or Margarito?

It was all about the easiest road to Oscar. Floydidiots simply went along for the ride then Arum started his "most avoided fighter in boxing" crusade regarding Margarito.

That's how I recall it and that's precisely how things played out.

i really dont know what you are attempting to argue. mayweather jr fought baldomir instead of margarito because it was a much easier fight for the same amount of money. AND he had left arum so to face margarito he wouldve had to re-up.

"mayweather jr was set to face spinks (who clearly had a better resume than margarito at the time) until fat fucks like dan rafael began to complain and clamor for baldomir."

Pick a side and stick with it.

You dove in after I responded to a different Floydidiot who claimed Baldomir has a better resume than Margarito.

The complains and clamour started when Floyd elected to go through with the Judah fight.

they did. mayweather jr and hbo offered the fight to baldomir initially. he turned it down and they made the judah fight. after that they planned a spinks fight, that is when rafael and other media hacks began to clamor for baldomir. hbo upped the ante for him and the rest is history.

still not sure what exactly you are arguing here. or what side i am supposed to pick?
