Agreed. Haye seems just as big as Williamson.

Yeah. Same here...Mormeck winning inside, Haye against the ropes...I swore it was over early.

But I figured if Jean-Marc didn't do it within 6-7 he was going to be in trouble...but I'd have expected him to fold later.

Haye has dynamite in his fists, no doubt...and Mormeck is past his best. Too much inactivity, maybe.

Have always been a fan of his style.

    Peace.

    We have plumbed new depths.

    Don't you know anything???

Danny Williams outweighed Klitschko when they fought, but only one of them was a legitimate heavyweight.:nono: :nono: The difference in strength and power was massive, and it told. You can be 6 foot this and 200 pounds that and only one thing will determine if you are a heavyweight or not.....and fighting in the heavyweight division usually helps prove your case. And, as illustrated, there can yet still be a world of difference between heavyweights themselves.- a level which I'm sure Haye isn't even at to begin with.

And had been beaten by Bell, by KO, and Haye had beaten Gurov so I'm not sure that that is the most acidic of tests, Donny:rolleyes:

When I said Retro, I was alluding to how Enzo was up for the Nelson fight but Nelson pulled out and Enzo was forced to fight Hobson. He didn't want a Hobson fight, but rather was nudged into it. Sure, he gets no points for not fighting Nelson, but he has to get some for beating Braithwaite, which yes, you have alluded to.

My ultimate gripe is that Haye is sitting in a comfort zone, and talking smack about the Heavies. Like Alonso told Hoyt, man up niggga, man up. My bet is that Haye will hang around with his little goldy belt for a while yet whilst mouthing shit about the heavies...and will get listened to.
........my argument about Cruiserweight is secondary...its a moribund division, so who gives a damn....just STFU about heavies as long as you work at 200-

Mormeck beat Gurov before Haye did.

I hear your gripe about Haye talking about the Heavies....I think his chances are minimal as well.

BUT he has already been up there once; and if he wants to go there again and mouth off about it.....so what? Let him try and get smashed...or not.

It has no bearing on his standing in the division - or Enzo's.

Should they fight for all the marbles? Sure....Cunningham is out there too.

And when/if they fight, we'll all know.

But for now, irrespective of what Haye spouts....he IS the man at Cruiserweight, IMHO.

    Peace.

Oh I know about Mormeck beating Gurov 1st...it was years ago. I'll be str8....I really don't give a toss about the argument about who is #1. Largely, they'll end up like Beyer and Lacy and Joe and Kessler...they'll have to settle it one way or the other, between themselves. And we'll all win.

But...Heavyweight is like a Hindu Cow. Unless you live there, you don't open your fucking mouth about it!!!! :nono:

BTW, did you REALLY pick Haye clearly?

'Cause you poked alot of questions and holes in the prediction thread, but I didn't read a clear pick....:nono: :kick:

I'm waiting for it....David Haye, BBC Sports Personality Of The Year Award.

Maybe Joe can get a lifetime achievement, and a good luck wish for the Hopkins fight.:flip:

If you put it to me, before the fight, I would have gone with Haye too. No shit. I would have hoped he lost, but I'd believe it immediately if Tam said he picked Haye. I actually felt he was a smarter pick.

I bet Haye to win @ 5.0 at the end of the 6th. Before I could make a surebet, Mormeck was on the canvas.

You think you can spot a fence rider due to your own inner fence, huh? :slap:

I favoured Haye in truth. It wouldn't have suprised me if either guy won, because it was a close fight...but I couldn't understand why Mormeck was such a popular favourite with most people AND books.

Haye was a better fighter in almost every category.

Simple - style match-up. Mormeck can get inside and Haye isn't good enough to stop him - and Jean-Marc would pretty much dominate there, which he did until the end.

Bet was he'd have enough to put Haye away once inside...and he almost did.

Don't think it was that far-fetched.

But Haye pulled off a masterpiece of a comeback. Awesome.

    Peace.

A lot safer than your bet that a 6'+ 220lb frame is enuff to make a man a heavyweight:doh:

did haye look good i didnt get to see it?

ive always thought he was talented but like other people have said doesn't seem to have the chin to cope with the cream of the crop. i like carl thompson and that hes a warrior and is always in a good scrap but without meaning any disrespect elite level fighters which haye proclaims he is should not be losing to him.

Losing at Cruiser to Carl THompson is enuff to undermine a mans intentions at Cruiser. Just what it does for his aspirations at 200+ I'll never know......

yup. im thinking the same thing about khan as well to be honest, obviously has talent but the attention and hype they get isnt warranted, as with losing to carl thompson, and ELITE level fighter shouldn't get knocked down by willie limmond. im digressing, but u get my point. mm-hmm

Is Enzo Macaranananananaelli white? Never saw the guy, but Ortho's blowing him so hard seems to indicate he's gotta be of right pigmentation....

Oh so thats the hierarchy is it???

Personally, I don't care much for Enzo neither. You never saw me push his case here at all, did you? I just have a gripe with slow chinless Cruisers who talk a lot of shit about Heavyweight while loitering around at Cruiser.

the hierarchy as it relates to your favorites, yes

Loitering at cruiser, the guy has had twenty fights, he has beaten the no.1 cruiserweight as he said it was his intention, and is now moving to hw as he said he would...regardless of how he finishes up, likely on the canvas, he has ambition, a plan, and is in a hurry..I like that in a fighter

I love the way he is so tired after 4 rounds that me makes Sharapova noises when he punches....kind of like Alan Minter, another of my favourite white london boys:laughing:
