By the way Steve Kim saying HBO wanted to make Cotto vs. Margarito right away, but Bob wasn´t interested.
Now Cotto will likely fight April 12th, while Margarito might fight on May 3rd on Showtime. Bob has no interest whatsoever to have Cotto eat a Margarito uppercut and do his funny moves again.

Zero interest in either fight, and am appauled that Margarito is fighting a second consecutive can, Arum just looooooves to use scrub-Judah, he knows all too well the delicious hype behind this fraud is something he can take advantage of, over and over again,...... I'm off the Margarito bandwagon until he fights a decent opponent.

I'll just make a few points about some of the posts so far.
    On:

the 2 fight matchup - Anyone who thinks this is a good fight needs to open their eyes. The promoters are not looking to give the fans a fight, but rather give them a commercial of Cotto and Margarito who they will later market together in another successful move to rob fans of PPV dollars. See it for what it is.

Margarito stopping Judah - This is as sure a thing as Cotto stopping Gomez. Judah lost his confidence several fights ago and he seems to be accepting his status as gate keeper otherwise he would have had a few confidence builders. Xplosive wrote "Zab went the distance in his last fight w/the type of bum he usually destroys. That should tell you something. Judah has slipped." Disagree. Zab has never consistently destroyed bums. Occasionally he's gone in a fight fired up, but more often than not he's been lackluster if not completely terrible. In fact rather than destroy bums Judah occasionally if not all together creates arguments that the "bum" actually deserved the decision. He has slipped though.

a Cotto-Forrest fight - Have to agree that I believe Forrest would beat Cotto. It's the style and size and Forrest knowing what to do. I don't take too much into Forrest losing to Quartey because I think that had more to do with Forrest being on a long layoff more than anything else. You'd love to see Forrest get matched up with a good fight like ODLH, Floyd, or Cotto, but I bet what we'll wind up getting is Forrest-Wright.

Dsimon3387 saying Mosley lost to Forrest's reach - Disagree. Mosley lost to Forrest because Forrest was throwing some of the most fluidly hard/fast punches I've seen in a long time. I remember when I first saw the fight, that even though Shane was winning at first, I felt with the kind of shots Forrest was throwing he was bound to do some damage and change the fight. Don't believe me? Pop in that fight and watch what I'm talking about. Also the reason Forrest lost to Mayorga is because Mayorga was able to walk right through those hard fast shots.

Good post. I do think that Zab has a shot if he puts it together for 12 rounds but that is highly unlikely:doh:
