Lets be best friends forever. Probably my favourite ever film. Adore it.

Some of those choices are debatable, but I'd say that Crimson Tide and Seven are DEFINITELY better movies than Heat. Hell if it was up to me, Crimson Tide would have won for best picture that year. But I dont think it was even NOMINATED.

Braveheart is also better than Heat... and that too came out in 95.

Best movie of the last 20 years my ass!

    Fuck 12 Monkeys!

Hell to me, Donnie Darko is a better movie than 12 Monkeys.

Crimson Tide over Heat? Not a chance. Both excellent films however.

    As for Braveheart.... O-VER-RA-TED.

The story was powerful and the movie, great, but it was non-action based. Heat had the perfect balance IMO and that's hard to do with action movies. In essence, I give HEAT bonus points for degree of difficulty.

HEAT holds a candle and farts on it and burns Shawshank.

"Heat's a better movie than Shawshank because it has more action"---Joe King.:Lok:

The Marine also has more action than The Shawshank Redemption, Joe. I guess that means it's better as well. [IMG]

The acting in heat is just as good if not better than Shawshank, but Shawshank is a much better movie. Its just a great example of art. What made heat great was the acting. Take that way and movie doesnt do so well.

A great movie, but if HEAT is ripped on for running time, then Gump should be as well.

Not really. Gump is more exciting than heat. Time flew buy. Again, heat was a three hour example on how to act. Gump was just an all around better movie tho.

Also, the DeNiro/Pacino "meet at last" scene was painfully stupid and overwrought... Total hollywood-masturbation garbage

Movie was great. Face to face scene was fucking great with Deniro putting on an acting Clinic and Pacino taking notes.
