Jones sucked it up, he should have been wearing yellow shorts with matching boots. He shouldn't have fought so afraid, which is probably the exact reason he got taken out. I was shocked to find out he was a Philly fighter.

bailey cant box, has a mediocre jab, is not durable and has a below average chin. i am still a fan of the guy and have been since years ago. his fight against ener julio was entertaining, and he has leveled several guys with high light reel KOs. I realize everyone here is only fans of the elite but i am glad the guy won in emphatic fashion and earned a good six figure payday.

 

Bailey is a fun fighter to watch for sure. He could spark anyone at any time. I like the guy personally, I was rooting for this exact outcome and was pleased to see it happen.

OK I simply posted that Bailey had bad technique, but that he always had crushing power. You responded to my post by calling me names and saying his "technique" was never a problem because, iyo, he always threw his punches correctly.
Does technique only have to do with the correctness of how one throws punches??

Technique encompasses that but much more than that. You just like to bust balls.

no, technique refers to proper physical execution of fundamentals. You just didn't know what you were talking about and are now backtracking. Apparently, you were under the mistaken impression that Bailey was somehow a sloppy or ungainly puncher.

 

Bailey is more Jackson or Trinidad......than Echols or Miranda....


He has good technique throws most of his punches beautifully..... just never let his hands go enough...and his defense is shit...

say what you will about bailey and his mediocrity throughout his career but his loss to corley was avenged. debatable decisions vs ngoudjo (who he scored KDs against), ishe smith and julio. against urango, hurtado and julio he had all 3 down and damn near out. only guy to really whip his ass was cotto.
