Jones began losing weight right after the Hanshaw fight - I think people will be surprised how lean he is on January 19th. Whether that affects him or not remains to be seen.

    :dunno:I don't know..maybe landing a good solid punch early in the fight..that hurts/drops JOnes...but unlikely..

Tito outbox Roy?

You've reached an all time low.

It appears that all of the $15,000 ringside seats have been sold.

Yeah, that is ridiculous. I mean we as RJJ fans aren't even arguing about Tito being able to KO Jones because of the way he's been put to sleep before.

However, you manage to take it to another level and say that "Tito may out fox Roy"????:eeeek: :eeeek: :eeeek:

Double seems to reach an all time low every week. So really, he is always at that low level.

No tito is not going to be outboxing Roy. The only people Tito can outbox are people like Thiam.

I would like to see Tito try to pump out his jab and let Roy come to him. :bears: Hey you never know.

Jones never comes straight at anyone. He uses angles and goes in and out. Tito's going to be bleeding from his anus by the time the night is over.

I've always wondered whether or not Double L is a sock puppet. He can't really be this stupid, can he?

I don't even want to watch this to be honest. I know exactly what will happen.

The only question is how long it will take Roy to ice Tito.

jones said at the knicks workout that tito will go down in 4

thatd be great but well see, jones has the tendancy to get ahead then coast to an easy UD as we all know

Damn. I was kinda expecting to be fans in the bleeches and nobody sat ringside. I guess DK knows more about Titos fans then i do.

Trinidad had a reputation of being chinny when he was still at 147. At 170, his chin will be shit.

    atomicdOGg34 "Twinkle Toes" McJack

true, plus jones has always been a pretty good puncher for an undersized lt heavy, plus his speed

i can see tito getting lit up with 1 good counter shot, a check hook as tito comes in

Jones is just going to play with him and knock him out whenever he chooses. What was Tito and his team thinking when they took this fight?

It's clear that Tito hasn't fallen out of love with his power. I think this time unlike the Winky Wrong fight, he gets put to sleep.

Only chance I see if he gets Roy on the ropes somehow. Usually Roy stays on the ropes for a while making him miss and clowning a little.

Any other scenario Roy would be too fast.

I'm down here in Puerto Rico for the holidays. The general feeling here is that Tito is going to get KTFO. He's living off past glory here and with Cotto becoming the island's new star, Tito seems to not be coping well with it. I think the odds are against him even down here.

Regardless of weight issues, being past primed, layoffs, etc.. Roy Jones is just BETTER than Tito Trinidad. He's a better fighter. Always has been and always will be. Tito only has a puncher's chance simply because Roy isn't quite what he was. But even still, at this point I still feel that Roy is too fast, too strong, too powerful, and too skilled. Tito won't see Roy's punches and because of his pride, he'll take a huge beating.

I don't even think I'll be watching this fight. Tito is gonna get whacked badly and its going to be sad to see. The only good thing for Tito here is the career high 20 plus million he'll earn for being the sacrificial lamb.

Wish this fight was never signed.

Rock, so the rumours of him being in great shape and looking great in sparring are all lies? My cousin live in PR and my uncle in Guayama and they hear he's looking and responding great?

    Whats up?

  26. Rubio MHS

    Rubio MHS Undisputed Champion

Yeah, he's looking pretty good for an old, chinny, one-dimensional welterweight about to take one one of the greatest light heavyweights of all time.

    That is a great post.

I agree with the first part. It is obvious that Tito is fighting because of Cottos popularity. To me that is a bad reason to fight. The worst reason since Fernando Vargas is fighting for Pride.

I'll get my ass kicked for 20 million. That's a good enough reason for me.:slap:

Anyone know the official purse guarantees for this fight? (not including PPV upside).

Tito doesn't look bad from what I hear. I've seen some pictures and he looks alright. Not nearly as cut or as lean as when he was even for the Mayorga fight.

But all that aside, few people if any give him a chance. Most believe that not only will he lose, but that it will be the worst loss of his career.
