I'm sticking to the treadmill for now, but I'm gonna get below 7:30 relatively soon.

Geez, I got a LONG way to go. Neil must be able to get a 5 minute mile.

I do.. although I really want to buy some mat or foam floor tiles.. it gets hard on the cement for too long..

I used to have a nice board I'd use on top of carpet in my old basement but since moving and not having a basement I jump outside

Today I've ran the mile in 7:39. I was really pushing it though. I don't think I can go much faster than 7:30.

Well, if I had your "proclivities ", I'd run too as soon as I saw Chris Hansen and his cameras.

Yesterday I aimed at running 5.4 km in 30 minutes. I ate a pizza just 20 minutes before so I decided to quit after 12 minutes. I have learned a lesson.

Ah, rookie mistake. I don't eat for at least 2-3 hours before I run, and even then I run best when it is something light.

Tonight I'm going to try and get my mile down below 7:15.:partie:

Well, I had a few beers last night with my wife just before I went to bed, today I woke up and was running great for the first 800m. It was set to be an excellent pace around 7:10, but then my lungs just felt like leather and I decided to slow it down.

I KNOW I can hit a 7 minute mile, it could even be tonight. I also ran at 10 miles per hour for awhile and it wasn't too bad. If I kept it up for 6 minutes, I would have a 6 minute mile. I think I'll try for that and then start raising the incline on the treadmill to make it harder.

I've been running more on an incline to simulate harder conditions. Jeez it's hard after 15 minutes or so. I'm definitely going to get my mile down though.
