In another topic someone mentioned that Marciano had won a computer simulation against Ali. The question is how, sure in boxing, certain things aren't tangible and you never know how a fight will turn out, but the LAST place I'd think Marciano would win that fight is a computer simulation. Ali outweghs Marciano by more than 25lbs, is much taller and has a MUCH larger reach. Ali was also unimaginably faster and technically better. Marciano's only advantages are in power and chin with the latter not meaning so much against a boxer who just as easily will stop you on cuts or win a wide decision. :dunno:
Power and physical strength,.. chin is debeateable in my opinion,.. Look at da end of de day,.. ya'll white people knows why ya'll give it ta Marciana,.. ya'll know.
I agree. A computer simulation is the last place I'd envisage a Marciano victory given the raw data involved. Here's the explanation. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Super_Fight Here are the "computer simulations" The one that got picked was Marciano winning, however there was one where Ali won on cuts: <object width="560" height="340"> <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/-SpGgop1Luc&hl=en_GB&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></object> <object width="425" height="344"> <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/7XKcGRREcaM&hl=en_GB&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></object>
The BBC edited the tape to have Ali winning on cuts. That's the BBC for you. Give them a result and if they dont like it they will report it for you the way THEY like it. Who the fuck are FOX when you can have the BBC???
It is not as shocking as you suppose......Ali was, on numerous occasions in his career, only one or two well placed blows away from being stopped. One more big left, on the money, from Frazier in the 15th, one more left from Cooper before the ripped glove, one big shot from Norton when Ali's jaw was already broken.....all would have ended the fight, there and then. You put a broke-jaw Ali in with Marciano, and I guarantee you..., in the immortal words of that guy from Mitch&Murray....hit the bricks pal because Ali is GOING OUT:warning:
It's that same logic that caused Ali to be a huge underdog in his fight against Foreman..who was bigger stronger and more powerful than Cooper, Frazier, Norton AND Marciano. We all know how well that turned out.....
Yes, Foreman was a harder hitter.....he also had absolutely FUCK ALL in the line of a plan B or any variety AT ALL. Rocky, at least, would offer stylistic problems, a smaller target and constant pressure.
This "Fight" Took Place During Ali's EXILE...The Computer DIDN'T Account for Ali's HEART, CHIN & DURABILITY, which were Largely UNKNOWN Qualities @ the Time... REED:hammert:
PRESUMPTIVE Bullshit... The FACT is, Frazier DIDN'T Stop Ali...Nor did Cooper...Hell, PARKINSON'S Ali Went 10 Rounds w/Trevor Berbick, who Could ALWAYS Bang a Bit, if Nathan Else...Muhammad Ali had a GREAT Chin...The Idea of Marciano KO'ing Ali is PREPOSTEROUS... REED:hammert:
He wouldnt go to Vietnam so the computer decided he was the smartest coward known to man. And Rocky still beat his ass.:crafty:
Yes, Ali had a great chin. I never doubted it. Does that change any of what I said? No. What I said was that IF Marciano was stood in front of a broke-jaw Ali that Ali is GOING OUT. Do you really think that an Ali with a broken jaw can sustain 10 rounds of Marciano hitting him?????:dunno: And not get knocked out:dunno::dunno: It seems....unlikely to say the least.
Arthur Abraham Went 12 Rounds w/a Broke-Jaw & Edison Miranda (a NOTED BANGER) Hitting Him...As Much as REED Likes Abraham, he AIN'T No Ali...Sorry, but REED just Can't Fathom a 5'10, 180 lb Dude KO'ing the Greatest Heavyweight in History... REED:hammert:
...... not even with busted jaw? Miranda is a noted FUCKTARD....Rocky was nothing if not a finisher. Finishing is as much mental if not physical. If Marciano thought your left earlobe was causing you discomfort.........he would hit your left earlobe. All night. I dont care how great he was...the thought of him going 10 rounds with a broken jaw vs Marciano and not being done over is too much. I can live with Marciano getting in the ring and not stopping Ali.....but once that jaw is broke...I really do think it is over.
