I love when 60lb dbs is something to brag about:: :: :: :: I never knew until this thread that Turd on is such a panzy
Ah, deadlifting 315 for 10 easy. I should have no problem being at my all-time strongest by the time my son is born in late March/early April. I might have a 500lb deadlift under my belt by that time.
Waiting for you to post doing 120 butterflies 6 reps, and curling 120's 6 reps  Talk is cheap midget. Still won't change the fact you shouldn't lift heavyweight to box when you are going down in weight and not part of the ipop guild.
Show me where I said I was bragging about it :dunno: I said that's where I stop and is proof you are at least in shape, but then again you get a free pass for obvious reasons ::

Neither one of you guys say you are lifting weights, and you are telling me you can use 120 dumbells right now  Talk is cheap, REAL cheap. How gay is it to lie on the net
Lucky for you, there isn't even a post about you doing Yoga I could find, at least you admitted it.....although you say you don't do it anymore ::
These lines were getting old when people were using them on StingerKarl. :: I might decide to do the butterflies at the end of my workout, and I'll make a vid or a gif image of the weight and me using them for 6. That's not the hard part. The hard part is getting permission to film in the gym, and the hard part is also not disturbing other peoples' workouts with the videocamera and stuff. But I'll get'er done sometime. Don't you worry, Tiny Turdy! Mighty Mouse will make a video for you! :: With all this talk of being short and such, along with you using little sissy weights, I have to imagine you might be projecting. What's your height, Tiny? It better be a lot more than 5ft8 since you're talking so much. :eeeek: :: You're probably an inch or two taller, and I bet it means the world to you.
If you could post that quote for the record-setting 100th straight time, and make a few more lipop guild jokes, I'm sure you'll really get me then. :: Just make sure to focus on your workouts, Tiny. So far we've seen you post that you may or may not record yourself in the gym and in sparring. Whoa, way to put yourself out on a limb! :eeeek: :: ::
:: I did, I admit that.. I took a yoga class last year and honestly it is ONE of the things that got me into bodyweight training, it is suprisingly hard. I went there to try and get my back in better shape and it helped a LOT! But I noticed that on top of making my back feel better, I was suprised at how strong some people there were. And this is when I was still lifting a bit, and not 60lb dumbells:laughing:
Man Buddy, I wish I still had my heavy dumbells I sold before I moved.. You know.. when you are in the gym, there are people that THINK they are strong then there are people that are STRONG! when I worked at Golds none of us would brag about 60's or even use them unless it was in a progression up to the heavier stuff. Like I think I told you, I have done nothing but bodyweight training and when I did go try to lift a few weeks back I was suprised at my strength.
Yeah, for me it's just logical progression. All my old lifts are getting back up to speed, and I'm doing stuff that I could NEVER do as a teen...like super-widegrip chins. I'm just slowly but surely regaining my form in everything. But there's always someone out there who is much stronger. The world bench press and squat records are at 1,000+ lbs now, and the deadlift is also. Now THOSE are amazing lifts. The stuff I do is good, but looking at the big stuff puts it in perspective.:dunno:
I'm gonna send you a clip Buddy.. I have a new exercise that is awesome I do my eliptical on my hands!
Tiny Turdy, you've been reading this thread and the chinup thread, haven't you? I'm squatting 405 for 6-8 reps, deadlifting 315lbs for 10, and doing standing powerpresses with 185 for 15 reps. I guess you have a hard time believing 120lb dumbbells because you're not that strong. :dunno: I'm not saying I'm doing 120lb flyes right now because I don't do flyes often, but I know I could get that easy before the year is out. I bench 300, dude. Do you really think I can't handle two 120lb dumbbells which combine to 240lbs total on the flat bench? I get that you're weak, dude. You've explained it fairly clearly. Some of us just aren't. Sorry if that upsets you. :dunno: ::
Perhaps it's because I'm a novice (and relatively weak) but it seems to me that 60 lb dumbbell flyes aren't exactly easy. I don't see too many people in the gym doing 120 lb dumbbell bench presses let alone 120 lb dumbbell flyes.
Nothing wrong with that. From what I've seen, I'm one of the stronger guys at my gym during lunch hour, but I imagine there are many stronger who train at different times like in the evening. My uncle, many years before he died, benched 500 before he hurt his back. I'm now, at age 35, around the same weight and height as most of my uncles were. They were all about this size or taller, and they were strong as hell. It runs in the family. :dunno:
I'm sure you're just giving Tyler the business because he's doing the same to you. I've been doing a lot of chinups and pushups for about two weeks now and I'm already seeing results, especially in my biceps and back. Hopefully, I can continue to get bigger as I stick with this new routine. I'm going to try varying my chinups (different grips, adding weights) to see if it helps even more. Thanks to you and LOK for your contributions to this section of the board. It's been helpful.
Yeah, Tyler wants to play, so I give him a slap on the back of the head like the crosseyed stepchild he is. No harm done! :: Glad to hear you're getting results, I-98. Lokster definitely comes up with some good stuff. And I do as well. I guess it IS true: even a blind dog finds a bone sometimes...NOT THAT KIND OF BONE, TYLER! :: ::
240 pound BUTTERFLIES is alot on a flat bench. I would have to see it to believe it. I'm not sure you even know how to properly perform them, but we will see. If you are working out with heavy weights, then yes......you should be able to lift more than me. I thought you were not. If you have not been working out, there is no way in hell you can do 60's with dumbells right out the gate, HENCE the reason I said it would be proof I was in some kind of shape. I CLEARLY said I do not go over that because I cannot maintain 200 at my height lifting over that weight. You are illiterate if you think me saying that I will do 60's on butterflies is alot, because right now I bet I could do 50's, and I have NOT been working out:dunno: I can't do an extra 10 pounds each arm in a year? Pffffttttt. Talk is cheap, like I said  Again, I am lifting weights for shape, NOT bulk "shortbus" :: Oh, let me also add, .....benching you can lift alot more than butterflies, so no......I DON'T think you can do the same weight
That's because if you don't workout, NO ONE ever starts out @ 60's , I don't give a fuck who you are. Buddy is a liar. The day you see someone go in the gym and start doing 60's, let Buddy know so you can prove me wrong and get it verified
Anyone who is keeping score, Buddy says he can do ALOT more than 60's on curling and butterflies. There will be alot of going back and forth, but if you want to keep track of anything......pay CLOSE attention to his claims with no evidence. Right now he is just talking, nothing more. Lok is doing the same. Proof and evidence, gotta love it opcorn:
Untwist your panties, Tiny Turdy. You definitely have a hair or two stuck in them, and it's making you pissy. If you didn't know that I lift heavy weights, then you haven't been reading the threads in here, and it follows from there that you don't know what you're talking about. :: I was curling 45s for sets of 10 when I was 20. That's 15 years ago. Heck, 10 years ago, I could dumbbell bench press 100s for 8, and I wasn't training specifically for that...I was supersetting with flyes to shape up after exams. :dunno: I just think a grown man, if that is what you are (which would be surprising because you sound like a teenager measuring yourself against men and getting mad when you don't measure up), should be lifting more than a measly couple of 60lb dumbbells in chest exercises. And now you're saying you can't even do that. :: Sounds like someone is upset for realizing that they are weak. Not everyone is cut out to be strong. Don't get mad about it, Turdy! You could still play pingpong, right?:dunno: I'll still be plugging away at the heavy weights at the end of the year, and I'll be glad to show you. :dunno:
Wow, such hostile angry language. Not everyone starts out a 98lb weakling like you, Turdy. I know guys who don't lift weights who are 6ft2 and 220lbs (One fellow at work does no weights, and he's a big big guy). Granted they carry some bodyfat, but they could walk right in and use 60s no problem (though I suspect he'd warm up with lighter stuff first). Where did you grow up? With circus midgets? ::
No, I'd be patting the top of your head while you're bringing your mother a beer as she nibbles my balls! Are you sure you're not a teenage girl? That would explain the anger and inability to lift weights over 40lbs. ::
Seeing as how I can cheat curl 175, powerclean more than 205, and do 10 chinups at a bodyweight of 220lbs, it's not hard to believe. :dunno: People should do what they say they can do. :dunno: :dunno:
let me say if we are talking purely "FLYS" then 60 is a lot dumbell presses... it's not flys are really for bodybuilders or bitches though
It's not that much weight if it is the only heavy chest exercise you do. He doesn't do anything else for chest apparently. It'd be more impressive if he did it after doing Incline Press, Bench Press, and Decline Press. You need complete chest development or else you may eventually get hurt. :dunno:
