    He will.

What you saw last night was a bit of matchmaking, Hearn was looking for either guy to come through with something spectacular to be fed to Joshua.

My suspicion is that he wanted Price to somehow find a win and then tell the public that Price was resurrected, and make the match with Joshua,to the chagrin of Fury and Wilder.

I would still take AJ over Wilder. Parker has good defense, and Wilder would be an easier target for AJ, I think. But Wilder has that power, so you never know.

That said, I take Frazier over AJ with confidence. He has faster hands, and he'd be able to slip and pick off a lot of AJ's right hands on his way inside to deliver those right and left hooks to the body and head. Plus, AJ isn't a huge puncher. He's more on the level of Vitali Klitschko in terms of punching power. For his size, not devastating at all. And Frazier had a good chin. He simply wears AJ down.

He'd hospitalize Wilder and give him a career ending beating.

Was it also black fanboy worship when I’ve praised Calzaghe and Juan Manuel Marquez?

Predicting a hagler hearns style of fight is always dumb. This fight was an aberration. Considering their style, Even the most astute analyst couldnt have predicted that both of them would come out swiging like caveman

Joshua is just so basic. Decent jab, decent right hand, right uppercut. That's basically it. He's still stiff, robotic, no real fluidity or creativity, not much speed. Basically no head movement.

I guess he's just about solid enough, combined with his massive size and good power that he's difficult to beat, but damn, it is hard to imagine him being the best HW in the world.

I think Wilder lays him out.

Gonna have to resurrect ol' Harry Carpenter for Joshua-Wilder.

"Wilder doing a Whyte on him!"

"OH HE'S GOT HIM! OH DEAR ME THE END OF THE JOSHUA STORY BY THE LOOK OF THIS!"

"Wilder has crushed his man, and the Joshua story is virtually OVER!!!!!!!!"

    SHUT UP Lennox Lewis!

Lewis was a great fighter but he has low intelligence and shouldn't confuse his greatness with people needing to listen to his "wisdom".

He’s Right in that Particular Instance Though...

It Would Be Dissapointing if Joshua were to NEVER Fight Outside of the U.K...”The Heavyweight Champion of the World” Fights Abroad, Eventually...

Agreed but it's the awkward clumsy way that Lewis gets to that conclusion which I find irritating.

I have to say though that Parker is an extremely likable fella. Almost too nice for a boxer. Pleasant, respectful, honest, classy. I would have rooted for him to beat AJ if an AJ win wasn't clearly better for boxing.

Very true. RJJ may have that southern country twang but he is 1000x times more insightful as a commentator than Lewis. Lennox trying to pronounce “athleticism” was pretty painful.

Lewis appears to have his head on straight more than a lot of other great fighters, he just seems like he’s kind of “duhh”

Klitschkos did Vegas, LA, New York. Lewis did the USA a bunch of times, Africa once. Dublin, London too. Both Klits did London a few times also.

Even Calzaghe went on the road eventually.

Joshua vs Fury has to be in London, I think Wilder vs Joshua should be in New York.

Commentary was a joke here BTW. I don't think Povetkin was ever out on his feet, not even close.

Prices best punch caught Povetkin in the middle of throwing one of his own and the balance issue made it look bad.

But Povetkin was never ever near as badly hurt as Price was.

Also..........Brit commentary end of round 1 trying to make out that Povetkin was on rubbery legs. I mean, they just tell us how to think. Pathetic. Povetkin stood in his fucking corner at the end of the 1st.

I get the impression from Eddie that it's their terms or no fight and it has to be in the UK. Makes sense as Joshua is the draw of the two.

Yes but how long will Joshua be the draw?? His last two fights he's shown a clear predilection for defensive tactics. The British public won't keep doing 80,000 for the Joseph Parkers of this World especially when Joshua is fighting tight. And.......Wilder has the WBC belt and a few names on his record now too.

Agreed, I like him. He's far more likeable than Joshua.

I was actually rooting for him, though I acknowledge an AJ win is better for boxing.

Fair enough, but he won wide and my impression was that the more Parker tried, the easier it was going to be for Joshua. Conversely, it would probably increase Parker's chances of winning, though.

I am assuming, perhaps wrongly, that the wide cards were because the ringside impression was that Joshua's punches were doing more damage, whether or not they were clean.

As Malignaggi pointed out, it's difficult to win on the road when you fight off of the back foot.

How many right hands did Joshua land cleanly? Can't have been a lot.

To beat Wilder (as I said before) all Joshua has to do is chase him around the ring with jabs and then get up close and throw power punches. That's it. Wilder has no answer for that. Wilder is only dangerous when his opponent stands there and waits. Wilder cannot counterpunch and cannot fight under pressure.

Parker did a good job slipping AJ's right hands. He was definitely ready for that.

AJ had more success landing left hooks. And though he never seriously hurt Parker, he clearly had his attention.

With this is I agree with.. Wilder needs distance. And he needs TIME. He almost never sets up his right hand behind the jab, nor does he know how to shorten up when the distance is closed.

AJ however is stiff in the upper body and he does at times have a tendency to just stand there. That's a mistake he can't afford against Wilder.

This fight cannot wait. Both are too vulnerable to let this go on another year. Make this fight next.
