Seriously, Tap...I don't know about that.

Were there MORE Trinidad fans? Yes.

    Were they more VOCAL? Yes.

But when you talked to a true Mosley fan....they may have been more articulate and not as "crazy" as a Tito fan...but they were UNMOVEABLE in their position that Shane was the PERFECT FIGHTER and had it ALL, NO WEAKNESS.

    I distinctly remember this.

Maybe it's quality over quantity.

    Peace.

At the time, there WAS debate about who PxP was better technically and all-around, given RJJ's 'technical flaws' and Mosley tearing through everyone at lightweight and early welterweight.

PBF was brought into the debate at times as well.

It was actually very good discussion.

    Peace.

Do you still pick Tito over Leonard, Duran, Hearns and Griffith?

Exactly. But don't expect phonetap to grasp that simple concept. Dude's not that smart.

I don't recall mentioning Griffith and pretty sure I didn't pick him over Leonard...just that he'd be strong in the later rounds than Leonard.

In any event...no comment on Griffith, definitely wouldn't pick Tito over Leonard at either 147 or 154lbs. If I said that then (which I doubt) I must have been smoking some serious WEED!

But I'd pick him over both Duran at 147/154lbs and tentatively over Hearns (because of Tommy's chinny chin chin, slight stamina deficiency and propensity for violence even though his superior boxing skills should be enough to carry him)

donny, please quit while you are behind...either you are ignoring or have completely forgotten the rabid nature of trinidad fans. no one is disagreeing whether there were mosley fans who thought of shane as the PERFECT fighter...but lets not be shortsighted and forget that for every mosley fan there were 3 times as many trinidad fans who thought of him as the PERFECT fighter.

The huggery of Felix Trinidad on message boards was only surpassed by that of Mike Tyson's fanatics and Klitschko fanatics on eastside.

"Tito is more gifted than Roy Jones"
"David Reid was a legend in the making"
"Tito never hit Vargas low, that was borderline"
"Trinidad won 4 rounds against Hopkins"
    "Tito lost because of 9-11"
    "Tito clearly beat Oscar"

After Mayorga: "Tito is better than ever!!!"

After Wright: "Tito is shot and would've destroyed Winky if he was in his prime!!"

Not ONE Trinidad fan said that Tito was the perfect fighter. Now you are making shit up! :nono: Trinidad's weaknesses were obvious. The most a Tito fan was saying was that he was the perfect OFFENSIVE fighter and/or that he could beat everyone else at the time.

Shane fans, however, were beyond ridiculous and acted as though Shane could do it all and had no weaknesses whatsoever.

You know this to be true, my son.

More quotes from Sly about Mosley...

"Shane is a brawler with limitations, yes, I believe Forrest already exposed that Twice (although Rvera had already done two years prior).

I maintain that Shane will have FITS with Mamadou Dou Dou Thiam!! Who knows...maybe Thiam will burn himself out again,in the last round, like he did the other night...but until that point (assuming Shane survives by that point) Shane would be going throught absolute hell. The Thiam fight the other night didn't disprove me at all."

You know what's funny...as far back as 2002 we were calling you a liar about your supposed being a fan of Mosley. At least you've been consistent.
