You seriously don't think Margarito became a bigger draw following the first fight with Cotto. He sold out Staples center after that fight as the A side. No way he would have done that pre Cotto. In fact there were a lot of empty seats against Paul Williams at Home Depot in his previous fight in L.A

its pointless to argue with this clown. he doesnt really understand boxing, or the business of boxing. i was at both those fights and what you said is correct. on top of that 90% of those in attendance at staples center were mexican fans there to see margarito, who after beating down cotto was the most popular mexican fighter. he sold like 20,000 seats in mexico in his comeback fight AFTER the mosley fight.

So there were a lot empty seats at an outdoor soccer stadium for Margarito vs. Paul Williams in the middle of July. The size of the venue and the extreme heat probably didnt have anything to do with that right?

You had Margarito vs. Shane. Two LA boys fighting at the staples center. Which usually always sells out for boxing. Shane is a huge draw in Los Angeles and many in the crowed was behind shane that night. But the fight wasnt on PPV. Why? His next fight on PPV. Latin Fury 14. What was the buyrate? Since he was such a huge PPV draw after Cotto, what was his numbers for that PPV? 15K!

Margarito has never been a huge PPV draw. His numbers after the Cotto fight proved that IMO.

He wasnt the most popular fighter in Mexico after Cotto. Please. And he sold 20k seats in Mexico and 15k buys in PPV. Yeah. Real fucking popular. Eat a dick shorty.

In doing research, the fight wasnt even held in the stadium, but in the sadium's tennis courts. Which holds a little over 8000 people and all reports indicate it was sold out. I doubt you two were even there, but if you were, you were probably too busy in the bathroom sucking each other off to notice the fight, let alone empty seats.
