If PBF defeats Hatton, is he a FOTY?

EXACTLY. This isn't the award for biggest upset of the year. They have their own little whatever it is. This is FOTY and there is just no way that Nonito Donaire is getting the award, or is deserving of it. Be real.

 

Sucked is relative. I was obviously exaggerating. At world level, I feel like vic was a bit overrated. He and Arce both were.

I think I would give the edge to Arce in that matchup, unbelievably I think he is a little more polished and less wild than Vic, and they both hit pretty hard.

Donaire would batter Arce too, he is for real. And despite the fact that Vic was no great fighter in my estimation, I have to acknowledge that he was an unbeaten champ and highly rated in most circles.

As of right now, Nonito's shocking KO of the unbeaten champ Vic is more impressive than Rafael's win over Vazquez, despite Vazquez being better than Vic.

If I look at it objectively, and take away the shock/hero factor, Hatton's win over Castillo is just as impressive. Castillo is a significantly better fighter than Vic and hatton just destroyed him.

I guess it's always impressive when that happens, the underdog shock beating, just look at Pacman - Ledwaba and Pacman - Barrera.

If Hatton beats PBF, he won't deserve fighter of the year award, because PBF has been beating up bums for years now, and hasn't fought anyone worth a shit in the last 8 years.

i always knew Vic sucked. and i knew Arce was over-rated too. but i agree that Arce is better than Vic. at least Arce knows how to box, and doesn't load up like a tough-man contestant. Vic showed the typical arrogance of a guy who was hand-fed softies for too long and was allowed to neglect his fundamentals for far too long.

i'd like to see Donaire vs. Mijares. that'd be a good fight.
