Ike Quartey vs Antonio Margarito

I think Margarito is as bad a style as you can get for Quartey, but is he good enough??

 

Nah, I see it as quite the opposite. Marg was highly dependent on having a strength advantage over guys, and Quartey was physically stronger.

If we take the version of Quartey that destroyed Philips, then I think Margarito gets the shit kicked outta him.

 

I don't see how Quartey's strength matters much here considering Margarito's own durability and Quartey's tendency to fade. Plus, Margarito's length would be a big advantage. I think Quartey is one of the more overrated fighters on here.

I agree w Double. I think once Ike starts tiring, the strength advantage will go out the window. I don't think anyone gets destroyed here.

 

Marg had hella problems with the homeless man's Quartey (Clottey).

He's out of his league against prime Ike.

 

Margarito made Clottey fight like a bitch.

And I don't think there's much resemblance between Quartey and Clottey aside from both being Ghanian.
