The same way Amir Khan's people let it go 4 vs Barrera, then decided the cut was too bad, went to the cards and got their W when the fight could have been just as easy stopped 2 rounds earlier??? Please........
I don't think Jones was entirely devoid of boxing fundamentals, but he did rely quite heavily on his ability to simply overwhelm he opponents with his speed and reflexes. And a result, he was never able to adjust and compensate once his natural gifts started to fade.
Awesome. And after that, Hopkins should find that guy he lost to in his first pro fight and rematch him to "settle" the score.
From what I've read....both men should retire. Hopkins would lose to Haye. Jones would lose to anyone.
After this fight yes Hopkins looks ready to be taken even by Haye. Earlier I thought Hopkins might actually have a chance since Haye is a counter puncher much like Tarver and Hopkins could give him angles and movement to stay away from the right hand and score points. However the few times Jones actually tried to hit him he often landed and Hops didn't seem slick at all anymore (which is understandable). Haye would whup him bad
