I'm not missing the point, I see exactly where you are going with this.

I don't think ANYONE would dispute something as obvious as there are less than stellar names on any fighters resume. But again..that doesn't mean that all resumes are the same.

Dude...some eras are better than others. It's just the way it is. The worst thing is that you KNOW this and have admitted it before, but then on a different day you fight to the death against it.

 

The only thing I am saying is pretty much what you said: if you want shit, any-era, you need only dig deep enough to find it. Some eras you dig a little, other eras you dig a lot. But the shit persists regardless.

 

Who cares? The problem with this era is not that you don't have to dig to find shit, it's that no matter how much you dig, you won't find anything BUT shit.

Well...we agree that there is shit in any era. But using that notion to make eras seem similar is as self-serving as using the Top 50 list is to make this era seem worse than it is.

So...yes, all era have shitty fighters, but all eras are not equal and some have more than others.
