    Mostarda I see you investing a great deal of your time quoting me and pretending I'm a laughable idiot. I must be having quite an impact on you for you to spend you time this way. Be careful...you may be neglecting your wife with all this effort and you don't want to do that. Remember what happened last time you neglected her?

    Me being bored for a few minutes gives me chance to kill some time...and you.

    Yeah I post way too much. I must retire soon though as this is getting ridiculous.

    Don't neglect your wife though, she's prone to opening her legs to the young Brazilian boys so you must keep her constantly engaged. ;)

    Nah, it's the older guys she'll probably gravitate toward: R$

    I do keep her engaged/entertained: we're off to watch Avengers Infinity War tomorrow.
    One of the Prime cinema theaters too: awesome sound, huge leather chairs with arms, tons of leg-space...the works.

    How does that undermine my point? I didn’t say every movie was good. I don’t speak absolute truths, that’s what you do. I’ve been saying for years that lots of movies suck now mostly due to greed. At the same time it makes sense for the studios to make a good coherent story that will make people want to watch it, you know, for profit’s sake.

    Also I can care less about trying to convince you these movies are good. I’m just debating your point regarding art and entertainment. But you and especially Mostarda are obviously trying to look cool or woke by your stance, otherwise you two wouldn’t feel the need to remind us on multiple occasions in every single superhero movie thread how much you think they suck. And in Mostarda’s case, how pretty much everything sucks.

    Yep.
    Because you've failed to recognize:
    1 - I am cool
    2 - Most things suck

    Interesting. Didn't knew that that AIDS-polluted, shithole third world country could have a half decent movie screen instead of the white sheet hung by a cord between trees or projected in a dirty wall in the alley that passes as cinema.

    I'm living in the 10th richest city in the world, actually.
    (GDP in 2016 was R$520 billion)

    Expected to be the 6th richest in 2022.

    This all came about last November when we went to watch Dunkirk and there was some hienous twat of a Dad, eating popcorn talking to his teenage kids constantly about the fucking history of Dunkirk.
    After 40 minutes, I just lent over and stared at him. Didnt say a singlr word.
    After that he shut the fuck up.

    But, ever since, we´ve been to the movies 3x: mother!, A Quiet Place and now this.....all in the Prime theater...(actually no 4x, 50 Shades she wanted to see but I refused to pay full-wahck for that shite)

    Definatelty worth paying an extra 20% for....

    There's something pretty similar at a cinema near me but it's a couch format, so it's more for dates. First rate beer selection tho, nice spot

    Usually about 25-30 each. Not including food. If you get food, you can easily spend over 100.

    and THAT is why I do most of my movie watching at home. And when I do am going to the movies I eat at home before leaving and only spend $5.00 for the ticket (senior discount). My family usually hate superhero, scifi movies, so I go alone. If they want to watch a movie, they wait for when it shows on Netflix.

    I bite the bullet.

    I only go to the cinema on average 5 times a year as I usually only go for the big blockbusters (to take the kids). For me they're the only films where you need the cinematic experience. Every now and then my wife would want to see something at the movies and then I'll take her. Other films such as critics pics etc, I'm happy to watch them on Netflix or HBO or whatever.

    Just got back late from the cinema after watching Avengers: Infinity War
    First, the poster. Hate it. Shit. Once again, focus on Robert Downey Jr (at his insistence, probably) and notice that now, no-one´s face is covered whatsoever
    Even Spider-Boy (and he aint a fucking Avenger)
    [IMG]

    Onto the movie.
    Great beginning - although Im sure Loki won´t be dead for long (¨he died once before¨). Heimdall no-one really gave a fuck about anyways.
    Minus: The Hulk was piss-poor fighting Thanos. Like Mike Tyson - lost his balls when someone started fighting back.

    First hour is solid. Love the fact Dr Strange takes a big role in this and completely overshadows Tony Stark (who becomes more of a cunt with each successive movie)
    No idea why they ever incorporated Spider-Teen into The Avengers at all.

    Also like the way they split-up The Guardians Of The Galaxy: two of them went off with Thor, while the others ended up meeting Stark, Spider-Baby and Dr Strange (and Stark got his ass handed to him again by Peter Quill/Star-Lord)

    Where the movie really dipped for me was when Wakanda and Black Panther came into it.
    Just bores me silly.
    Never got the Black Panther and find the whole Vibranium City/Zulu tribe shit really tiresome and made me want to watch Black Panther movie even less than I already did before.

    Last 45 minutes of the movie was a run-of-the-mill, Lucas-esque CGI fest which I couldnt be bothered with and paid little attention to.
    (If Black Widow has been killed, it would have been good: imo, one of the more useless members of The Avengers that somehow survives without posessing any special powers at all.)

    The ´deaths´, lol, were done pretty good - quite funny seeing everyone disintegrate into dust because I like looking at fuckwitted, movie-going punks reactions to it all.

    Overall I enjoyed it, but cant see mysref giving it mote than one or to views.
    Humor was great - massively toned-down from previous efforts but more than enough to get some LOLs (best one for me):
    Rocket Racoon: ¨How much for the gun?¨
    Winter Soldier: ¨Not for sale¨
    Rocket Racoon: ¨How much for the arm?¨
    (for someone like me who loves The Guardians Of The Galaxy first movie, I loved that nod.)

    There was a bit of a ´Live-Aid Factor´ about it all but not enough to make it unwatchable or ridiculous.
    Stand-out characters:
    * Thor
    * Peter Quill/Star-Lord
    * Dr Strange
    * Thanos

    7.5/10
