I agree, and I already said as much. Crawford is much more defensively responsible and is one of the few guys around with better awareness and footwork. I think most areas are pretty close, in fairness - but the way Crawford fights is more adaptable, and more reliable. His ring IQ and general well roundedness makes him a better fighter IMO. Even as an offensive package, Crawford is still a huge puncher and just as good a finisher. If he wants a guy out of there, he usually gets them. Crawford's arsenal isn't as sharp, but you get the feeling that his shots are really thudding, whereas Inoue's feel more explosive and sharp. Maybe it's coz Crawford is a bigger guy, but it's a different type of power IMO. Both can bang.
What a great performance from Inoue this time around. But I also couldn't help but feel sad for Donaire as he was clearly motivated to do better but just fell short against a special talent. I'm ready to see Inoue clear the BW division and do some damage at Super BW. As for Donaire, hope he decides to retire, he already established his HOF career and he can leave the sport with his health intact.
Maybe the herky jerky nature of his style. I find it ugly. He's an all time great though. A better fighter than his fuckin diva countryman.
It always seems that way. I agree that Winner of Crawford/Spence should be the P4P 1 guy. Usyk is behind and then we have Inoue. Between Crawford and Inoue in terms of overall package I think I'll give the slight edge to Crawford just because we've seen Crawford fight in different styles between slick boxer, puncher, and brawler.
Inoue's the favorite over anyone below 130, and that's more a reflection of how mediocre 122-126 is right now. Rigo could beat Inoue in his prime, but Rigo's shot. Fulton? I like Fulton a lot, he's one of my favorites right now, but I ain't stupid. Inoue would kill Fulton.
Going by who should be P4P #1, listing their best wins: Usyk - Hippity hoppity leap amateur super HW Joshua Crawford - midget Gamboa or drained Brook Spence - Brook again Inoue - shot, weight-drained Donaire I From this list it looks like Usyk is the P4P #1 to me because super HW leap amateur Joshua > better than Crawford, Spence, and Inoue's best win by far
Akhmadaliev barely got pass Roman, who was hitting him with good bodyshots. Imagine if that was Inoue hitting him with those shots. Inoue would body bag MJ.
That’s funny because if they were the same weight I would pick Loma to destroy you’re beloved Crawford about as easily and decisively as he did Rigo. Crawford IMO is the overrated one and on his best day, has never looked as impressive as Loma has. You constantly knock Loma as overrated without taking any account into the fact he was forced to move up past his best most effective weight due to a lack of quality challenges. So whatever issue you have with Loma shouldn’t that weight issue be taken into account, or is your judgment just based on hate?
Loma wouldn't destroy shit. Crawford has more dimensions and more intangibles. Loma the great fighter is a fucking myth.
You mention him having to move above his best weight division in the same post you reference his win over rigondeaux ?
That’s a laugh. I don’t see one thing that Crawford is great at other than maybe his power. He has average speed, boxing skills, and defense. Loma has exceptional defense both in blocking and slipping punches, very good hand & foot speed, better foot work and probably the greatest cardio of are times. Loma has displayed the kind of punch output that has rarely been matched. What does Crawford do great again other than look average as all hell. I referenced it as a comparison to how well he’d do against Crawford not as some all time great win of his career, so the point still stands.
Resume doesn't say that. Only thing that supports that is Loma being more flashy. Usyk is clearly a better, more effective fighter.
