Tap, actually the point was that advances in training and nutrition have helped create Heavyweights like Lennox Lewis and Wladimir Klitschko who are chiseled big men and not clumsy oafs.

If you compare apples to apples and snatch each guy from his prime, Joe Louis would be a significant physical disadvantage and face a difficult task against a prime Lewis or Klitschko.

This obviously doesn't diminish the greatness and complete era domination of Joe Louis, but my feeling is that Lennox and Wlad are examples of the type of evolved and advanced HW's we should see as common place at the the top of the HW division in the future.
