That explains it. I have seen almost all his fights which is why I am the President of the anti-Arthur camp.

Seems to work pretty well so far, and for some reason I don't believe all fighters are that worried about their looks.

This sounds like Kid Dynamite arguing that any heavyweight fighter could be as good as Lennox Lewis if they just jabbed and kept distance, but nobody wanted to because it is boring:doh:

tbh, it's a localized fatigue though - it makes your shoulders burn like a mofo if you aren't used to it. That can be trained for, basically by doing it habitually and improving the the endurance in those muscles. It's not systemically fatiguing like the concentration needed to slip shots constantly is, like Mex says.

MTF, I would bet I have more boxing experience than you, and keeping a high guard is not tiring to me at all, neither is getting hit in the gloves and arms.

What is tiring for me is throwing a lot of punches, throwing hard punches (which Arabham does to be fair), and getting hit flush, getting hit in the body, and moving around a lot.

I've seen noobs do almost nothing but cover up (because they are scared and inexperienced) and it seems to be the ONLY way they don't get that tired.

When people box for the first time, through throwing punches and the concentration required to avoid getting hit, they are usually gassed after ONE round, barely able to keep their hands up etc. This is if they are actually throwing punches though, not turtling.

I said at the highest level

Arabham has yet to beat an elite fighter, and he won't.

it's arguable whether there are any elite fighters around those weights right now tbh

Abraham hasn't fought anybody. His best fight was against a completely shot Jermain Taylor. Abraham is completely unproven.

I've always tought Abraham was a pretty good fighter. I am not ready to call him anything great but he is pretty good and pretty consistent.

I wasn't that impressed with the Taylor win because it's the worst version of Taylor that anybody faced. Also the third ko loss for Taylor.

The one thing I took is that he is equally strong at 168 like was at 160. He can bang with anybody at this weight.

no because as I said it removes any martial relevance from the sport. Go ask somebody to rain 10 hard punches against the back of your hands and report back in 2 months when you can type again.
